Twitter: Prescott is already a 50 million dollar man

This is the same point I brought up for why it was really unnecessary for Zeke to holdout for so long.

And why it would also have been a good idea for a self-proclaimed entrepreneur like Antonio Brown to land in Dallas.

It also tells me Dak is a pretty smart guy.

Zeke is a different situation because of his off the field antics. He's an immature idiot and unlikely to get many endorsements unless he seriously works hard to clean up his image. That probably won't happen any time soon, so he knew where he needed to make most or all of his money.

Dak is a solid role model and thus a good endorsement candidate.

Did you people even read the article? Dak doesn't have 50 million in endorsements. He has an insurance policy worth 50 million.

Jesus and you idiots fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

This should also help the team, because it lets him focus on football.

I wouldn't be surprised to see his YPA, TD% and INT% all go up this year, because it will mean he's taking chances in all four quarters and not just late in close games.

The money he makes on endorsements will have no impact on his negotiations.
He plays football for a living. Endorsements are a side gig.
Would he have the endorsement income if he worked at Home Depot?

That endorsement money is only because he is a qb, a Dallas cowboy qb

Endorsements deals are not a part of players contracts.

True.

Some advertisers wont' touch Zeke.

But I'd venture to say there are some out there that'd pay him big money.

Some advertisers want controversy.

Dak deserves the huge endorsement money he is getting. He’s earned it with his excellent play and leadership. It’s only going to go higher.

It doesn't say he has a 50 million dollar insurance policy.

That number is from the combination of endorsement revenue and a potential insurance claim (which they said "can be difficult to collect"), neither of which were explicitly defined in the article. The sum total of all these revenue sources is believed to be $50+ million

Prescott has loss-of-value and disability insurance policies, as well as multiyear endorsement deals, that all together are valued at more than $50 million, league sources told ESPN. The insurance policies protect the star quarterback if he has a career-threatening injury. The endorsement deals, worth more than what some starting NFL quarterbacks are making, are in place for years, according to sources

Lucky? Dak didn't ask for this. He was drafted in the 4th round and things lined up for him. This is not lucky. This is a miracle!

That shouldn’t impact his contract status at all. Even a billionaire knows the value of a dollar.
only in America baby, an eagles fan that spends all of his time on a Cowboys forum,,, only in America baby.

Endorsements deals are not a part of players contracts.
But they are a direct side effect of a nfl career.

Would tom Brady have Giselle super model if not a nfl qb
Brady of course benefits from both
He shows appreciation with a team friendly deal that then thru success accelerates to even more endorsements....a lesson dak could learn, his teammates would appreciate it

Has this been typical of Cowboys QBs like Aikman and Romo as well - making big $$$ outside of their player salary while being starting QB?

No. He has the endorsements because he's a Class Act.

I have to say Dak is pretty good in the tv commercials he does. When you see how stiff Aaron Rodgers is in those State Farm ads he does and even think of some others who have been dreadful like Drew Brees and Eli Manning you appreciate how hard it can be. Tony Romo and Peyton Manning seem like natural actors but those are not the norm. Dak is up there, dude has that ability.
