I don’t get it either. But after seeing the level of hate that a stud like Tony Romo received from SOME Cowboys fans, nothing surprises me anymore.

I supported Quincy, Chad Hutchinson, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Vinny Testaverde, Drew Henson, Anthony Wright, etc. etc. etc. when they were the Cowboys QB.

Because I’m a Cowboys fan.

Unlike those guys, Dak is actually an effective NFL starting QB. He wins most of his games, he puts up good numbers, he’s clutch and he’s a fantastic leader whose teammates love him.

Makes no sense for a COWBOYS fan to not root like crazy for this guy to succeed.
I wanted romo to win too but i knew he would never lead us to a superbowl. Too inconsistent and turnover prone. He was the catalyst of our sloppy play. He was an above average qb and was just not a winner

The myth that he couldn’t make every throw has been completely busted.

I’m so sorry, haters. I am so, SO sorry.

His career completion % was 66.1 entering today. His career yards/attempt was 7.4 entering today. Both very good figures.

His haters bleated all offseason that those numbers meant nothing.

“EYE TEST!”

“JUST WATCH THE GAMES!”

“HE CAN’T THROW DEEP!”

“DINK AND DAK!”

Oh, and “it was just the Giants!” is not any kind of valid excuse. Dropping DIMES is dropping DIMES, no matter who’s in coverage. It’s not like he was throwing screens out there that our receivers were taking to the house.

I’m sure most of his haters feel like complete dummies right about now... at least the ones who have a shred of football knowledge in their bodies. Because even if they still want to argue that Dak was “average” from 2016-18, they were also SO SURE that Dak could never take that next step.

Welp, it’s early, of course... but it looks like Dak is poised to have a fantastic year in Moore’s pass-first offense.

Now, if these Dak haters are true DALLAS COWBOYS fans, they’ll learn to embrace our franchise QB instead of looking to tear him down every chance they get.

It takes a big man to say, “I was wrong.” I’m sure most of us will be gracious about it. I was dead wrong when I said we shouldn’t bench Drew Bledsoe for Tony Romo, because I thought we’d be throwing in the towel in 2006 by going with Romo. Whoops!
I don't think anyone who felt he needed to improve was wrong, only those who thought he couldn't improve. The work he did in the off season showed big time. Those over-the-shoulder dimes he was dropping were a big improvement from past years.

Dak is still underthrowing the ball.
True story.

He under threw a couple today that would have otherwise when touchdowns.

His long throw down the sidelines to Gallop was his best throw by a mile as it was one of the few throws where he only had a tight window.

It was a lovely throw.

The Giants D did not have any sort of pass rush, even when they gambled the house it just left oceans of space in behind to be exploited. Their line backing corp has been woeful for several years and the secondary consists of a coffin dodger that even I could out run.

Further, our O-Line was magnificent today. This should not be overlooked - Prescott had so much time to throw the ball today which he won't always have against the better defenses. I was also startled at how much separation our receivers had on so many plays - credit to the play calling and I don't know if Prescott also assisted by faking to throw elsewhere with his eyes but our receivers had so much space. The Giants' secondary is pretty dreadful as well.

I doubt many people would question Prescott being able to perform in a game like today.

Prescott will be scrutinised in games like those away against the Bears. I.e. a team with a proper defense as that's the sort of quality he will have to beat in the post season.

And the cooper td pass? The jarwin ball slipped out of his hand it looked like. Plus if a guy is that wide open you purposefully underthrow it so at least its completed. The one to cobb was a perfect strike as well. You guys are ridiculous

There isn't a QB on the planet that hasn't underthrown or misfired on a pass. Tom friggin Brady has missed receivers believe it or not.

I always look at the bigger picture.

Some people question our roster but in my opinion the roster is loaded and pretty much has been to some extent over the past three seasons.

I look at a game like the Bears v Packers. Both defenses were excellent, especially the Bears' defense in the first quarter. They were all over Rodgers, he could't get anything going and got hit throughout the quarter. The difference in the game was Aaron Rodgers executed two superb throws in tight windows during the second quarter which resulted in a TD and essentially won the game. Against defenses like that you won't have receivers with masses of separation on every single play and a long time to throw the ball.

I'm only interested in winning a Superbowl, that's all I care about. Winning.

Not he said, she said etc.

I just think it should be noted that the Giants have one of the worst defenses in the league and that in reality, Prescott was always going to have an impressive stat sheet - as he will against the Dolphins in a couple of weeks.

Valdez-scandling was wide open lol. They had one scoring drive that was 4 plays. Aaron rodgers sucked and should had been picked off a couple times as well. Do we watch the same games?

Prescott will need to execute a couple of those difficult long throws in to tight windows if we are to win a Superbowl.

I was encouraged today as he made one of those exact throws to Gallop in the first half. He had missed several of those last season but he executed today - that's my take and I just hope that he can continue to do that as he will only get a couple of chances like that which will ultimately decide if we win or lose big games.

Valdez-Scandling was open but the ball could only be thrown in to a very tight window otherwise the ball would have been under/overthrown or the throw would have broken up.

The touchdown pass to Graham was the exact sort of pass that Prescott has not thrown over the past three seasons. Sometimes you need to a throw an accurate jump ball and trust your guy. It was a great throw and it was the difference between winning and not - both defenses were impressive.

Rodgers was playing against one of the highest ranked defenses of last season under a new head coach and a completely new offensive scheme having not played a snap during pre-season. He wasn't facing the Giants at home in what will be a defense ranked 25-32.

Let's see how Prescott does away to the Bears later in the season - that will give us a good indication of how well we will get on during the post season.

As above, I was encouraged that he connected with Gallop as he missed those type of throws too many times last season.

If olawale was a true wr, he would have stopped and let the defender run out of the play. But he didn't and the ball hit the defender on the helmet.

Lol rodgers coulda thrown that thing 3 yards in either direction and it would have been caught. And if my memory serves me correctly the wr had to slow down for the ball hence y it looked like a contested catch. O wow a jump ball to jimmy graham means your qb is good. Maybe if dak had a jump ball guy that would be an option. And no dez was no longer that guy he couldnt win those consistently. Get a new team

But if you watch the replay. Dak wanted to throw it earlier but pressure made him pull the ball and reload. Which then he underthrew it because he knew the safety was coming over the top. If thats a clean pocket thats probably a better throw
