Juan thornhill had a run grade 45 points higher than heath's and coverage grade 13 points higher. That's how bad heath was against the run

If it makes you feel better our defensive line grades were bad as well. Ty craw ranked 70th at DT. D law was 18th. everyone else was poorly ranked. What did heath do. cause an incompletion and almost knock out LVE. He had the worst run defense grade as a safety in the entire league. Which would be spot on, he was absolutely terrible yesterday against the run.

Heath played better than anyone in the Giants' secondary.

He should be. He was toast all night long.

I agree he's a good cover safety and very few teams really have someone that can do that as well as he does. But he did have maybe the best play of the game near the LOS with that hit on Engram that forced an incomplete pass early in the game. Once in a while he'll make a play like that out of nowhere. The other teams TEs and 3rd WRs never do a lot against the Cowboys the last 2 years and that's in large part because our safeties take the middle of the field out of play.

Heath can hit. Give him a straight shot at someone, and he'll set off like a rocket and light up guys. But choosing lanes and moving laterally is a problem, while flipping his hips to go from downfield to upfield is a bigger problem.

Straight line player, forward going player. Let him play single high, and he's great breaking on balls, with good hands to do something when he gets there.

With the big play by Saqon, Heath stopped his feet and was done. Should have gone ballistic straight at him. If he missed, he missed, but once he was trying to react laterally, he had no chance.

What this team doesn't understand is you also need to find starters in free agency as well.

We did get Quinn.

I think they look at an in the box safety like a 1T. Not a full time starter, so they're not going to spend big on it.

Saying all 2nd round defensive tackles. Start Right off the bat is simply not accurate also

First as you always do, you make things up. I never said “started”. I said played.

And I looked it up before and there have been quite a few 2nd round DTs that had impacts as rookies.

So to suggest Hill being inactive for a 2nd round DT is typical and expected is inaccurate.
