Name names!!not really. The Poster whom I respect, but disagree with about Dak...hasn't shown up yet. He was stating Trubisky would be a far better QB than Dak and on and on...BUT SINCE THE GAME, its crickets. lol
It is one game and to be honest, it will be the best game of his career. He will stink it up at some point which goes back to his consistency. The Giants defense is horrible and the next two weeks Dallas will face weak teams, but that changes as the season goes on.
Dak is 20-13 since 2017.
And that’s with teams, according to you, “daring him to beat them deep” and Dak not being able to.
Yeah, you’re an expert at the psychology of emoji use, you internet runt.See my sig for why you're being dumb.
The big laugh emojis are a good tell for someone lacking an argument and trying to fill the gap with emoting.
Oh my gawd, every other thread has a top post talking to so called "haters" You guys are ruining this group. Here is an idea - wait until you see someone "hating" and just respond to their post specifically. Such a shame whats become of this group. The myth that he couldn’t make every throw has been completely busted.
I’m so sorry, haters. I am so, SO sorry.
His career completion % was 66.1 entering today. His career yards/attempt was 7.4 entering today. Both very good figures.
His haters bleated all offseason that those numbers meant nothing.
“EYE TEST!”
“JUST WATCH THE GAMES!”
“HE CAN’T THROW DEEP!”
“DINK AND DAK!”
Oh, and “it was just the Giants!” is not any kind of valid excuse. Dropping DIMES is dropping DIMES, no matter who’s in coverage. It’s not like he was throwing screens out there that our receivers were taking to the house.
I’m sure most of his haters feel like complete dummies right about now... at least the ones who have a shred of football knowledge in their bodies. Because even if they still want to argue that Dak was “average” from 2016-18, they were also SO SURE that Dak could never take that next step.
Welp, it’s early, of course... but it looks like Dak is poised to have a fantastic year in Moore’s pass-first offense.
Now, if these Dak haters are true DALLAS COWBOYS fans, they’ll learn to embrace our franchise QB instead of looking to tear him down every chance they get.
It takes a big man to say, “I was wrong.” I’m sure most of us will be gracious about it. I was dead wrong when I said we shouldn’t bench Drew Bledsoe for Tony Romo, because I thought we’d be throwing in the towel in 2006 by going with Romo. Whoops!
Dak was terrific today. His last eight or nine games have been very good. He's improved each year.
“Good game”?Dak had had one good game throwing 400 yrs in 3 years....
Quick let's give him 100 million dollars
Here’s a better idea: don’t tell strangers on the internet what words they should and shouldn’t say.Oh my gawd, every other thread has a top post talking to so called "haters" You guys are ruining this group. I think Kitmo has raised Dak's level of play.Of course Dak won't do this every week. But I can believe that he has raised his level of play a notch.
New QB coach, and this time one with a long and successful starting career in the NFL, under multiple coaches himself. Dak is still a young QB, with room to grow, and Kitna may be the first time he has had competent QB coaching. He also got himself multiple QB coaches in the offseason. Improvement in the fundamentals should be expected.
(Though how is it that *all* players aren't getting coached in the offseason? They're professionals, their pay is closely tied to performance, and in the case of a QB, tens of millions are on the line. It's just unserious for these guys not to be practicing and getting coached all year round. I'm not talking about the league. I'm talking about them as individuals.)
And a new OC who actually helps him instead of hindering him will raise it another notch. No one believes Linehan was effectively using Dak, or the rest of the offense. Dak and everyone will be better just casting off that anchor.
You should get used to Dak being better than the last couple of years.
I think he’s overall average because the games like yesterday haven’t currently been the norm. No offense but the intangibles is sports talk shows and filler talk non sense. More often than not when you’re a top tier person in any field “intangibles” isn’t one of the first things mentioned for why you’re that top tier person. With Dak though it is because to me he isn’t the best throwing it accurately consistently so he gets credit for feel good emotional stuff like a nice play at the right time. That’s awesome when he does it too but for me it doesn’t negate the eh play that sometimes leads to those more “clutch” plays having to be made.
I will keep saying this if Dak was some upper tier qb his game wouldn’t be as poloarizing period. Think about the top tier QBs or any player in any league how many are saying they aren’t “top tier”? How many on here or anywhere are debating Zeke being “top tier”? I think when you have an overall consensus on those things that’s when you normally know who is or isn’t that player imo. If you disagree that’s ok because we all see things differently. Have a great one.
I think Kitmo has raised Dak's level of play.
Dak was letting it fly way earlier than usual, too. The most gratifying part I watched, honestly. He didn't hold the ball at all.
Different OC, and Dak suddenly has his best game ever and WR's are getting open consistently for the first time in years. I'd say it's much more than a narrative. One thing I noticed fits that narrative. In the Kitna run up, there was talk of Kitna saying "When you see what we're looking for, don't second guess the play design, let it rip."
So many looks were so open, so it's hard to know if the change was just circumstance, but Dak did let it rip much more than the past. At least that's how it looked to me.
Some were talking about Dak having all day to throw because there were no sacks and pockets were clean. I thought Dak was taking *less* time to throw than usual. Set and fire. That also limits sacks and keeps your pocket clean.
I remember one game way back against Randall Cunningham. Shotgun. Hike-throw. Bang bang. All day long. It was a miserable day for a Cowboy fan. But that's the power of a QB getting rid of the ball. Then it's all on your back end and there's nothing your dline can do about it.
