Miami will have no urgency to move the guy...and will ask for the moon.

Could also be a bidding war... I've been hearing the Saints, Chiefs, Eagles and Steelers are interested and I'm sure there'd be other teams.
Seattle is also interested though they usually avoid “bidding war” scenarios.
Lots of teams kicking the tires, and it will end there.

Do you feel that will be the case for all of them? Or just Seattle?

Not. Happening.

The sooner you people understand this the better.

And please, try to ignore your dumb little friends on Facebook that keep bombarding you with articles that say this is happening.

You will feel so much better when all is said and done.

I think that the case for most teams, Seattle included.
Lots of my fellow hawks fans think this guy is a must get, after the piss poor safety play in week one.

I can see it if he can fill the ET role in Seattle’s defense (and I’m not saying he’s going to be the next ET, no one is) but it’s a risk for what Miami is asking.

JS, Seattle’s GM’s hobby is collecting draft picks, they few times he’s traded away #1’s it hasn’t worked out well (Harvin, Jimmy Graham) though the JG situation I chalk life up to a clueless OC that refused to use him properly.

Could it be for Byron and taco?

Only way it happens imo. But I think Byron Jones is better than Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Minkah cannot play corner and does not want to play SS.

Byron Jones not only can play all over the secondary, he does not pout when asked to do so.

I don't see a team giving a first for MFitz unless they're getting something else back like a 2nd or 3rd.

I would do this:
Cowboys give: 2020 1st

Cowboys get 2021 1st plus MFitz.

The Dolphins get to make a big splash in the 2020 draft but they have two 2021 first round picks due to the Tunsil trade.

They Dolphins top priority appears to be getting a QB in the 2020 draft. They do have 2 first rounders already but they probably want a WR to go with the new QB.

For the Cowboys their 2020 1st should be a late 1st and the Dolphins 2021 1st should be an early first.

That would actually be a good trade for both teams. The Dolphins give up some long term value but they really really need to kick start their rebuild if the GM and HC want to stay employed.
I think you missed a step or a piece or three here. I've seen your posts in the past and I'm being serious. I think you had to have left out something.

Fitzpatrick is a really good player, it's not like the Dolphin's are just trying to jettison a guy like Taco.

This makes zero sense for the dolphins. swapping firsts in 2020 to 2021 isn't a great plan for them. Giving up a talent like MFitz as well is just... well that's so far out of reality it's not even a bad madden trade.

We should’ve taken Juan T to be our FS and moved X-Man up to SS. Problem solved. But NOOOOOOOO, we had to take Captain Insctive because he and Rod talked every day like bestie’s.
Woods is not a good option at SS.

Thornhill projects better to SS than Woods...

Part of the decision process was that there was one or two Safeties the Cowboys liked better at SS that they thought might make it to their 3rd round pick.

I saw Dolphins are looking for a 1st rd pick, no way do I think Dallas should give up a 1st or 2nd for Fitzpatrick

A second all day I would give up, but definitely not a first. Safety has been a weakness for this team for years. I imagine just going from playing on the Dolphins to the Cowboys D would make him instantly better. As long as the Eagles don't get him I'll be happy, their front office is aggressive and takes chances, we like our guys like CFL bench players like Heath and that great number 2 receiver Williams who is in the not for long league.

It sounds like just about every team in the NFL has called about a trade so I don’t think we have a shot at this player.

They will probably get a 1st.

Well that was dumb.

Per Rotoworld.com:

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Dolphins DB Minkah Fitzpatrick could be traded as early as this week. Rapoport said he couldn't believe the amount of interest Fitzpatrick has generated, noting that trade talks for the 2018 first-rounder are both "real" and "serious." Miami is reportedly seeking a first-round pick for Fitzpatrick and based on the heavy interest he's drawing across the league, that steep asking price may not be as crazy as it sounds.

I wonder if the Dolphins get smart like we are and deactivate Fitzpatrick to shield him from injury and inflate his value.

If you’re desperate for a DB of course it’s not a steep price because you’re basically getting him on his rookie deal. It’s better then a draft pick in some ways because he does have NFL experience and some of the growing pains are over with.
