I actually just assume that was Risen trying to be funny. I know in that draft we had other targets than Taco and sort of got stuck picking there the way the board broke. It was him or Watt.
I don't remember who else was available at the time. May go back and look at it.

I disagree with Mosher on this one. Joey Bosa wasn’t exactly an amazing athlete; a lot more goes into what makes a successful DE than what certain metrics capture on a spider chart.

I personally think Taco’s struggles in large part stem from technique, effort, desire, and his “love” for football.
I agree but guys like Bosa, T. Suggs, etc that didn’t test well athletically, all had huge college production, which Taco lacked big time.

But having said that... I agree that his issue is character, desire, effort, love of the game (grind), etc.

Won’t happen. They aren’t really interested in players as they want draft capital. Ridding ourselves of Taco is just a way to get rid of him.

Minkah is going to get a first or a very early second to a bad team.
I just never got into the taco pun. I would have attitude problems with my superiors if my first name was Taco. God him in Michigan  gotta think hearing TAAKOO TAAKKO get em TAKKO! That would make me tell my first NFL coach to shove it up in there real deep like.

I wanted Chidobe Awuzie with our first round pick. I didn’t think there was any way he’d last until out second round pick, lol.

I didn’t want Taco in the first but I would have been fine with him at the 60th pick where we took Chido... so had we taken Chido first and Taco second, I would have been fine.

Coming out of the first two rounds with those guys ended up making me fine with what happened.

Still, many here (not me) wanted TJ Watt with the first pick. That would have been way better in hindsight.

I was so happy when we got Awuzie. He's from my neighborhood.

I think it's too early to call Hill a bust but a lot of people thought he would last until round three. Players we could have taken in the second include Paris Campbell, Taylor Rapp, Juan Thornhill, Dre'mont Jones, Zach Allen, and Andy Isabella. I haven't really been following them to see how they're doing but Zach Allen started and had three solo tackles in his first game.

I was hoping they could have got Dre'mont Jones, took the S in the 2nd round. I was ok with the Hill pick, but not thrilled. But will not hate the guy , and pull for him since is on the team. As I do all players.
I will not rag on him either, but if the time comes to move on such as Taco, then I will say it at the time.

Hill needs some time this year, as many 1st to 3rd round picks need several years.

If what you are thinking, is I’m thinking you are on crack to believe Miami would take Taco for Fitzpatrick, then yes we are thinking the same thing...

Hold on, you are saying the Great Will McClay should be banned from the war room?

Okay, fake fan. Your lack of faith for the greatest talent evaluator of all time is duly noted. Leave your fan card on the table as you leave.

Mock him all you wanr, but he's still better then most, even if he whiffed on Charlton.

The current roster proves this.

I dunno, but I hope whoever lobbied for the pick is barred from the warroom forever.
* There was a member here on the forum who'd actually predicted JJ& co. was gonna snag Taco , in one of the pre-draft threads, straight truth.

Since he's a Cowboy I hope Hill turns into the player the envision. He should get the requisite three years to be a contributor. I thought they might be interested in Allen as a Crawford type of player. He seemed like a low risk pick kind of like when we picked Zack Martin
