Isn't a meniscus tear some sort of stuctural damage? Or is it pretty insignificant? Hope he doesn't lose any power or speed. I love this kid

Just had a meniscus abridmebt. It's structural, but generally something that you won't injure more and won't lead to anything more severe. They don't even repair the tear, they just trim off the scar tissue and arthritic tissue.

I'd had mine for years before having it worked on.

Gallup took some big hits yesterday. I was thinking how tough he is to hold onto the ball knowing those hits were coming. I'm not sure that's how he got hurt though.

I feel bad for the young man. I think Devin Smith is every bit the wide receiver. Go Cowboys lucky we had the depth.
Devin Smith has 13 career receptions.
I wouldnt say he is every bit the WR as Gallup.

Gallup has become a versatile weapon who can move the change and stretch the field.

His loss will be felt. We will still keep winning though.

Plug in Devin Smith. It's go time, young man.

Get well soon Gallup.
Darn!!Darn!!!Darn!!! Gallop was going for an all pro year and now this. Guess it could of been worse as another poster put it. But man. I'm depressed over this news. Gallop was awesome. I knew he was in trouble when the guy hit him in the knee with helmet while tackling him. Get well soon, Gallop!!!!

Of course losing him will be felt. But that doesn't mean Smith can't replace him. It just means if something happens to Smith we're screwed. LOL

Also, just remember, super bowl teams have injuries but overcome them and move on winning. If we're going all the way this is part of it.

If Gallup misses the full 4 weeks, my hunch is hey may keep him out the fifth week (10/20 vs the Eagles) and bring him back after the bye (11/4 @ the Giants).

I can see Dallas erring on the side of caution here.

I don't know if Smith will even be the one to replace Gallup. If Austin is back, the Cowboys might trust a trio of Cooper-Cobb-Austin more with Smith sprinkled in.

More Cobb, Smith, and Austin for awhile. The position is pretty d4mn deep. Best it has been since I can remember. Cobb is looking like one of the best FA signings in a long time.

You armchair trainers sound like fools.

Let’s wait for Dr. Jerry to give us the real timeframe.
