On the 1 hand, I admire an old-school brash HC similar to Marrone. I expect that's why he was hired by Coughlin. Where Tom was way better was he knew when to back off a player and respect them. Meat head Marrone either refuses to back off or its not in his DNA to do so. Either way...IMO, hes a college coach..not an NFL guy. That's just 1 mans opinion.

Exactly. I think Taco and a 3, maybe Taco and 2 tops would be the best deal they could probably get. They'd get a DE (which they looked like they could use) and a 2nd, and we get Ramsey. That would be worth it to me.
I WOULD send a 3rd and Taco to Jville for him. NO MORE.

THE OLDSCHOOL HC's knew how to push buttons...and also when to pat a guy on the butt and say good job. Marrone is an idiot...being a constant hard *** doesn't cut it in life, let alone FB.

btw...just a random thought. Fournette reminds me of a damn good RB that NE had named John Stephens. His build, running style..he was their bell cow for a time. Giving some props and love to Fournette because he too plays on a bad team and is wasting his years there. Same as Stephens.

Byron and a 5th for Ramsey

Taco and a 5 for Ramsey would be smashing. Can you imagine the chaps on the telly like Stephen A Smith discussing that trade? Bloody hell! That would be Jerry's greatest trade since Herschel Walker if he can pull that off. What a ruddy magician he'd be with that.

More like a taco and a 5th, - he is not a long term player anywhere. He will go to the highest bidder during FA. His baggage (mouth) could also derail the locker-room.

And that 5 could turn into a comp pick for us when he leaves here, and there aren't any comp 1st round picks.

He’ll be a Patriot by Sunday.

Oh goodness! The NFL would be all but killed off with that. That would likely trigger a mass Exodus of fans from the NFL with how unfair and bs that would be. Especially in the salary cap era.

Honestly I’d rather keep Byron. Jalen is too extra and he lowkey has quit in him

I forgot players aren't allowed to be upset with the way coaches coach. You guys are ridiculous these men aren't slaves these are millionaire professionals that actually have college education and do have a brain. Maybe the coaches just suck. I would say doug marrone sucks.

To be honest, I'm glad we have Garrett over Moron wait, I mean Marrone. Oh well, same thing, right? That would've been an incompletion had that been called. I felt that Ramsay certainly had a right to be upset there. I just don't fancy giving up a 1 unless it's absolutely vital. I still think we need a DT and a TE along with a safety in the next draft. That's why I'm hesitant about the first with him. Same goes for a second (though, THAT I'd be more than happy to part with for Minkah and maybe a player like Byron to land Minkah). But, Taco and anything from a 3rd and below, I'm all for. I'd love to pair Ramsay with this defence. That'd be smashing.

I would trade for minkah b4 ramsey just due to the contract situation not the actual quality of play. That's not close between minkah and ramsey. Ramsey is a baller and any team that needs a CB right now should offer the house for that dude. If he goes to the Eagles I'll be pissed

This is his first day to training camp

That's also why I'd be hesitant to use a 1 or 2 on Ramsay. We won't be able to afford to extend him. I think he'll ultimately get paid a lot, so I think we'd stand a chance at gaining a 3 back for him as a comp pick along with shedding the malcontent Taco. That's why I think it's a fair deal. The Jaguars must know that he'll never accept a deal with them. He could meet them a 3 in comp, so why not let us give them fair market value for him and we end up getting that 3 back. And, by giving them Taco as part of the trade, they get a potential comp pick if he leaves there.

I'd hate it if he goes to Philly, but I don't think he's worth trading a 1 or 2 for, especially with his contract situation. I could see using a 2 on Minkah because he's only on the second year of his deal, so we would have time to find the cap space to extend him. We may not be able to be so fortunate with Ramsay. So, that's why I advocate offering fair market value (in terms of what JAX would receive in a comp pick if he were to sign elsewhere as a FA) plus Taco for him.

I wouldnt be surprised if they get in on Ramsey at some point. They loved him coming out.

I think people are off on Jalen. He is just emotional, outspoken dude. He hasnt been the cancer he is portrayed as.

This is true. If take him over a bloke like Josh Norman, for example. He's a bit of a Deion Sanders type chap, Ramsay is. By that, I mean he does have a tendency of being quite boisterous, but can back up his talk a bit better than Norman has.
