I’m really irritated by the hypocrisy of Gregory on the roster while Charlton is gone

it makes no sense imo. From how I interpret the situation(based off my interpretations of Stephen Jones statements on the matter), Gregory hasn’t even applied for reinstatement. That fool probably still wants to get those last highs before he stands before Goodell. If the franchise felt like they couldn’t trust or depend on Charlton to be there for the team and released, how the heck is Gregory still associated with the team. What kind of message does that send to the lockerroom and more importantly, the fan base.

It's pretty simple. The message is "if you are talented and have personal demons, we will support you. If you aren't talented, and are a little crybaby to boot, we will cut you." It's not a big secret that teams have a higher threshold for BS if the player can produce. Randy hasn't even been there and has more production than Taco, who was eligible for every game that was played while he was on the team.

Based off this tweet, he hasn’t even met with Goodell yet which means he hasn’t even applied for reinstatement. He has to meet with Goodell and then after that meeting, Goodell has 8 weeks to make a decision. This guy hasn’t even met with Goodell and we’re in week 3. As silly as I believe josh Gordon to be he at aleast met with Goodell during the offseason to put himself in position to possibly be able to play most of the season and he ended up being able to play the first game. That’s professionalism by Gordon and shows me he at least want to battle his demons to get in the field and help his team.

Gregory isn’t showing me that and I don’t get how Jerry and Stephen can stomach that with so much patience and not outright release him after he was a lower pick than Taco.

His production is overstated. He’s not producing that much to the point it cancels out how unreliable he’s been to the team. Let’s get it right, his production is not on the caliber of a josh Gordon who’s an all pro player when he’s playing.
