Not that difficult, teams are game planning for them.
Yep. The blueprint is out there now thanks to Sean McVay.

Jaylon has looked fine to me.
Last season, through the first three games, he had 22 tackles. He has 27 so far this year.
This nugget from MMQB.......anyone else notice this

Sleepy Sunday for the Cowboys, but there was an interesting under-the-radar development in their game. The coaches lightened Jaylon Smith’s snap load a little bit, so they could use him as a down pass-rusher in certain spots. There aren’t many players in the NFL who can toggle between middle linebacker and edge rusher, but Smith it as a collegian, and it should be really interesting to see Dallas resurrect that part of his game, something the Cowboys can do because of the depth Sean Lee and Joe Thomas give them at linebacker.
Yeah.. I'm sure he's getting tackles but that's not the point. It's how he looks.
He is overrunning plays and is slow when turning.
Truth EE getting ripped under a microscope every snap and dogged here just because he got his money, dudes playing well, hes being Zeke..LOL at turning this into a Zeke homage.
Hahahahahaha.
DT's are chumps. Nothing to do with confidence. The RAMS showed the rest of the NFL the weakness of the Cowboys. OUr DT's. And a guy like Jalyon can get washed out easy on blocks.
So he’s having a better statistical year, our defense is giving up fewer points, yet he is somehow doing much worse? Sorry, I don’t see it and I don’t buy it.
Yeah, maybe he just wants to see where Heath is before he gets into the play.Wonder If LVE is still off from that head hit from Heath week 1
Yeah you're not seeing it because you aren't paying attention to him. If you were you would see there is an obvious problem with him right now.
He's turning like a sail boat and his positioning at times is awful.
I have been paying attention. What's obvious is, for whatever reason, he's the board "scapegoat of the week." Baseless criticism, as highlighted by the fact that no one is pointing to any specific play or stat. I tend to ignore this board when it relies on the "I know what I see" argument.
For crying out loud, 20 of Jaylon's 27 tackles were solo, top three in the NFL. You simply cannot diminish that stat.
it's way too easy to trap Marinelli's DTs
i wouldn't say it's baseless criticism and he isn't a scapegoat of anything.
he and LVE haven't played to last year's level yet. i think that's pretty obvious to most everyone.
IMO, they will both be totally fine. they're extremely smart and talented and work hard. it's early in the season. sometimes these things take a little longer year-to-year. nothing to worry about at all yet.

Nope, reached and pulled it out with his hand. It was clear on the close-up replay.Didn't look like it the 4 or 5 times I saw the replay. Looked like Jaylon was completely clear and the OL knocked it loose.

It's not baseless at all.
Forget his tackles. I'm sure he got a lot of tackles in 2016 too.
It's obvious he is over running plays and is turning like a sail boat. If you're not seeing that then thats on you.
I am diminishing the stat because it means nothing to me. He's not passing the eye test like he did a year ago. He's set a higher standard and if you want to applaud this level of play of his then be my guest but he is nowhere near 2018 Jaylon yet.
