Also, comparing a QB in 2018 and 2019 to a QB in the early 90s is ridiculous. Totally different game. Totally different in how the refs call the game. You can't touch QBs any longer. Defense can no longer press the issue. Every single QB now days, even average ones, are going to have much better stats across the board. Big deal. Aikman was never asked to do what Mahomes did. Didn't have to. Of course he isn't going to have those numbers.

This the same aikman that said accuracy cannot be taught. You either have it or you don't. Dak has proven otherwise. Troy's an arrogant redneck. But he's got buck to stroke his ego. "I'm here with the hall of famer".........

I don't think Dak has proved him otherwise, Aikman is right. I just think Aikman was wrong if he said that thinking Dak had poor accuracy. I never though Dak had accuracy issues despite many that claim otherwise. I just think he had timing issues. That could be worked out, and they were.

Fox paid Aikman a lot of money to work for them because of his experience, knowledge of the game and yes, because he is a HOF.

Buck is probably told by his bosses to give credibility to their announce team by saying that on air.

I noticed yesterday and from highlights today. I was going to post at some point.

Mahomes is starting to remind me on the cockiness level of Cam Newton.
Almost Arrogant with on the field antics. Not quite as bad, but a sign of it.

I honestly don't like the guy. He's a show boat who's more concerned about himself than his team. I get so tired of his no- look BS. Hope someone gets a pic 6 on one of those...

I've not known Mahomes to be an ego-maniac...nor less than classy. It sure wasn't Pat that posted his stats. Meanwhile I respect Troy in guarding his accomplishments.

In short...this is pure social media drivel, and I'm done w/it.

With Reid has his coach that Superbowl title is not happening.

You cannot compare QBs from different era's...

Troy threw over 20 TD’s in only 1 season. Dak is about to do it for the 4th time. Aikman was winless in his first season with 9 TDs and 18 INTs, Mahomes is just starting his second season. Aikman won in a pre salary cap era.

Ultimately Mahomes didn't even write that, why is Aikman always so insecure?

Why do people even care if an athlete is arrogant? You can never win with fans. They hate you if you're too arrogant. They hate you if you're too humble. They hate you if you have too much of a temper. They hate you if you don't have enough of a temper. They hate you if you play for an opposing team. They hate you if you play for their team. Who cares what they think?

No doubt. Besides, who knows if he's 'a humble, good kid'. He's managed his public persona well, but he could be doing lines off of his GF's flat stomach every night for all we know. Further, who cares? He's a football player, not the Messiah.

Did you see him go out like he was going to block and then go down when he realize he was going to have to make a block? They had it on “Come on Man” last night. Never seen anything like it. He made a business decision but it was stall a bad look.

I wouldn't go that far, but he should have just let it go. Other people will fight for him, and he won't have to be all defensive about it.

LOL Troy is getting salty in his old age. .......but he's right! Troy's got 3 super bowl rings and Mahomes hasn't appeared in one.

To be honest I absolutely believe Mahomes is the best QB in the league. It really isn't debatable. I love my Cowboys! They are the better overall team.

Mahomes is the most talented QB in the league. But with a super bowl on the line, your taking Mahomes over Brady?

Someone must have one hell of an agenda to try pumping up Patrick Mahomes by insinuating his stats indicate he’s a better QB than 3-time SB Champ HOFer, Troy Aikman.

Also, while I can think of several ex-NFL QBs to compare Mahomes to (off the top of my head, maybe Fran Tarkenton, Steve McNair, Michael Vick, possibly Tony Romo), one of the last guys I’d compare PM to, directly as a QB, would be Aikman.

It's amazing how some of our "fans" are so quick to turn on our players, even HOF Super Bowl winners.

It's especially sad when you realize it's largely because Troy isn't a pom-pom waving Cowboys homer when doing national telecasts.
