When was the last time Zeke made a defender miss?

Posted it another thread but in Zeke’s last 619 carries dating back to 2017, his longest run has been 41 yards (next longest is just 30 yards).

If you’re getting paid like the best RB in the league there needs to be a special element to your game that separates you from the run-of-the-mill running back; I need a guy getting paid like that to make a guy miss and break a long one every once in a while.

We’ve got the new Frank Gore.

Even Gore just had a 41-yarder just yesterday. Funny coincidence.

So true. He’s not the same guy he was his rookie season and he shouldn’t have been paid. There’s a lot of fools gold on this team. Having said that we do have enough talent to win the big one but we don’t have the coaching to get the most of our talent.

Powerful? Oh yeah, he's certainly strong, and he continues to move the pile forward upon contact.

But explosive? Shifty? Capable of making the big play?

I'm not seeing that.

i'm really worried about the lack of explosion from zeke, ..i'm not seeing elite explosive running from him, it's like they want to bulk him up and totally

I didn't see a lot of "space" last night. Usually the first guy Zeke had to make miss was at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield, and he wasn't alone.

Then ask yourself why we rarely have Zeke run to the outside? Wouldn't it make a bit more sense that in a night where the run game up the middle/between tackles isn't working, you'd want to work the outside? It's like, maybe, that 4.3 guy behind Zeke might actually be good at that and he was a pretty good receiver in college too.

Fat Zeke is not as explosive anymore and his contract is something we will live to regret. You wanna see what guys look like when they are playing for a new contract see Quinn. Fill your team with guys like that and young players.

Just curious when the last time anyone saw Zeke make a defender miss. All he ever does is put his head down, run into them, and fall forward for 3 yards. Don't get me wrong, the tough and hidden yardage is important, but in games like last night, we need a RB who can make something happen 1v1.

Zeke is not worth the money he is making, and in certain situations Tony Pollard should be on the field over him due to his more dynamic nature and ability to make guys miss in space.

This was easy.
Here is a video from last week. He is making lots of guys miss. He is a 1 cut and go back. Not a dancer. But still makes guys miss on many plays in this video.

You just don’t see Zeke breaking tackles, making anyone miss or taking it to the house anymore. He hasn’t really since his suspension.

Zeke get's the ball with three yards of space between him and the one defender behind the line, he then promptly gets wrapped up by said one defender and continues his 1-2 falling forward yards after contract we've seen ththe last four weeks.

I don't think you actually watched the video before posting because no there weren't "plenty of broken tackles" in there. That is funny.

It takes all the way until 1:07 to really find a play that the yards weren't created for him and made hi first impressive broken tackle.

I would've just let him stay in Cabo and gone with a combo of recovered Jay Ajayi and Tony Pollard. Use that cash to pay Robert Quinn, Dak Prescott and Randall Cobb.
