they don't trust Jones enough for that 5th safety role ?

I’m a fan of his and followed him at NC State.

Main reasons he was cut was they upgrade with Adrian Amos, they said he no longer was a “fit” and that he also had a “personal, non football illness”.

He can start if needed and is a damn good safety.

His main flaw in Green Bay was he was in a Taco situation. Just very vocal about PT and they soured on him.

Likely boils down to injuries somewhere and trying to find a fit on the 53. Knight? Wise? Etc.
