Maybe if we had a better game plan the game doesn't come down to one or two plays. We should of gotten 20 on this team and only got half. Lets just be honest. Garrett was out coached. Out schemed. Out smarted by Payton.I realize it's easy to point fingers at the coaches here, but this game was going to be tough no matter what and these players need to not cough up the football on critical drives and Randall Cobb needs to catch a touchdown pass that hits him directly in the hands, regardless of how poorly it may be thrown.
The entire outcome of this game would have been different if none of the above occurred.
Sean Payton developed a gameplan that masterfully masked their coverages on defense and an offensive gameplan that emphasized his quarterback's strengths. Our coach went into a conservative shell I'm guessing b/c he was intimidated by the environment and he figured it wouldn't take much on offense to defeat a backup QB.I realize it's easy to point fingers at the coaches here, but this game was going to be tough no matter what and these players need to not cough up the football on critical drives and Randall Cobb needs to catch a touchdown pass that hits him directly in the hands, regardless of how poorly it may be thrown.

I totally agree. I can't fairly judge the coaching because the execution was poor at best on both sides of the ball. Now if you want to blame the coaching for not having the players mentally and emotionally prepared then I'm with you, but these are grown men paid to do a job as well.I realize it's easy to point fingers at the coaches here, but this game was going to be tough no matter what and these players need to not cough up the football on critical drives and Randall Cobb needs to catch a touchdown pass that hits him directly in the hands, regardless of how poorly it may be thrown.

I’d ask anyone to answer this."9 years with Jason Garrett, tell me the game you felt he made a difference."
Good point.

I don't disagree, but the coaching was not the main reason we lost. Parcells said if you turn the ball over, you will lose the game. Aaron Rodgers threw the ball well last week but lost because he lost the turnover battle. It's that simple. The execution was bad but the gameplan was worse.
With that gameplan we had to play perfect. If we attacked the Saints Defense through the air we might have made more mistakes but scored more points in the process.
I'd rather play to win then not to lose against a team we should've beat.
