That's really a fundamental question that I haven't seen asked much. If Dak was an unrestricted free agent, how much would he get? Before the season, I would have bet against $30m per year. After the first 3 weeks, I would have bet on $35m.

Regardless, unless Dak is a fool, he is better off taking a contract from Dallas for X per year than virtually any other team for that same amount. Fans underestimate just how much leverage the Cowboys have. They could let him be a free agent and tell him they will match any offer he gets and he would be smart to come back because he is going to get so much more endorsement income as Cowboys QB than anywhere else.

Would be a gamble for the Cowboys though. You would have to trust that he doesn't let emotions decide his next team.

We will sign Dak eventually and probably over pay. With Jerry it’s not just about his performance on the field. Daks value goes beyond in marketing and sales.

Anyone who doesn't think Romo gets us a field goal vs the Saints is either a hater or didn't watch that dude in the 2 minute offense.

Dak should send a case of Blue Lable and some strippers to Jerry's office.....then anything can happen I guess.
im betting theres 4-5 teams that would pay Dak that just because of his play as a DCQB and his W-L record since he was a rookie.. Wentz and Goff got big money and are in the same tier..its a terrible relaity we live in but QBs run this league and Owners are afraid to not have a reliable one..

I was saying last year no way Dak gets over 28..then after all these new contracts, I said well he better not get more then 30 and now its spinning out of control..Mahomes will drag the FT cap hits further up and Dak will get more just by waiting..not by performance, just simply the calendar turning..

I see this happen from time to time the last 5 years with the Ski Boat market new boats have went from being around 30k in 2000 when i bought boat to as much as 220k aveage cost for new ski/wakeboat is now over 90k

it made used boats so scarce and made them all cost way n more then they were worth, you could not buy one but if youwanted one you were either getting new one for the costy of a house or buy used one for more then you wanted..
Jerry and other owners do not want to go through Qbs like in Denver or us in 2015 etc but instead find one that performs welll, you can win with and pay him..

I agree. A couple passes were awful, but in retrospect the entire offense looked like trash. Though his numbers were low and he threw an INT, I din't think he was detrimental.
Yea, I didn’t come away blaming Dak. His performance wasn’t stellar but not enough to blame him. I’d point to our two fumbles as critical impacts in the contest.

I give credit to the Saints defense for stuffing Elliott and taking our offense out of our comfort zone. As poor as our offense played we still had a shot in the end.

He wasn't detrimental in turnovers as much as it was not making crucial plays and rising to the occasion to get points on the board. Thats what the Elite Qb's do......not every time of course but this was the 26th ranked defense not some top ranked defense

and thats fine if the FO is ok with it. Some of us are of the opinion that this is Dakotas absolute ceiling, (which by the way is through his hard work). I admire that quality of his and i think almost all his criitics do too

No I didn't think it was your list, you clown LMA0

When Willie gets backed into a corner he has to make stuff up to save face lol.

This is another classic

Dak couldnt average 300 passing ypg if he had Rice Moss and TO and quarters were 20minutes long

Yeah, it will happen, whether we think it should or not. I don't think he's top dollar, but I don't think he's average.

Yes you did :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

And its funny how you are poking out your chest after week 4

Dak’s last two games he has a 82 passer rating and 63% completion. 2Tds and 2 ints vs 2 of the worst defenses in the league :lmao:

Then you bring up my truthful statement on Dak not being able to average 300 passing ypg, when he isnt even averaging 300 ypg so far this season :lmao:

You must be high

The kid always shows up to play. I think he’s making the most of his talent level and passing ability.

Despite whatever flaws or poor performances he has we always seem to have a shot at winning the game.

Then pull it up where I did! Let's see it Willie

And with those two games he's still the league leader in QBR :lmao2:, which is the best QB stat out there.

Running for his life behind a leaky Oline and pathetic game plan.
However, he should have hit a couple of those passes better.
Why does Dak suck at throwing crossing patterns. He has always thrown behind Cobb in every game this year???
Every game the commentators talk about how Dak has improved his mechanics. I am tired of hearing that about a guy that will be making 34 million a year.
Also, I wish he would have run to get the first down on the two short third downs in the 4th quarter. No one will ding you if you had to run. Use your legs wisely..
I was listening to Mike Lombardi, and he talked about how Moore got outcoached big time in that game. The Saints were running run blitzes the whole game, it's as if they knew the plays before they happened. It's ok to take your lumps as long a s you can learn from the mistakes.
I hope this is a teachable moment for the offense.
BTW the defense was on the field for 32 minutes, that is now our formula for success.

Qbr is the best stat, but you dont even know how to calculate it LOL

and my post was about yardage not qbr LOL

you cant even stay on topic LOL

Wait Willie you must have missed it somehow, I said where I said those were your MVP odds. But you didn't.

So you were..... lying like I said you were?

Your initial post I gave was about yardage, of which Dak is only 15 yards away with Cooper, Cobb, and Smith? As his receivers with normal quarters. Then you switched it entirely to last two game stats that's when I provided QBR.

Come on Willie, you aren't this stupid to where you can't even keep up with such a simple conversation, right Willie? My bar I set for you was pretty damn low, but you seem to not even meet that standard LOL.

And yes I know how QBR is calculated, do you even have the faintest idea?

Yea, Dak dropped to 8th after Sunday’s performance. As we face stiffer competition it’s likely to drop closer to his last two seasons where he was closer to the middle of the pack.

The QBR brings others into the upper crest line Dak, Mariotta and Josh Allen for example. And why yards have always been the stat used to rank QB’s by official NFL stats much like it uses to rank team offenses and defenses.
