Here's the reality. Dak doesn't suck. He's far from a crappy QB. But he still hasn't shown the consistency from game to game that one would want to see from an upper echelon QB and certainly from a guy who might be about to get Top 3 QB money.
I wonder why some of you just struggle to admit that. I am not saying cut him or any of that stuff. But at this point, I certainly wouldn't be running to his agent to sign him to a big extension at this point, after he played so-so in the two biggest games of the year for the Cowboys to date.
We are back to that point where I think we need to see a lot more from Dak before making that financial commitment.
A few reasons. And to be clear, he threw a couple passes behind WR's and a couple "could have" been INT's. Also, a couple sacks he could have avoided - IMO
The O line was patched together with very little continuity. Injuries have plagued it once again. You simply cannot expect to win games.
They got such a quick and distant lead, we couldn't run a balanced offense, they pretty much KNEW we were passing and he still got downfield. Encouraging.
Way too much pressure.
Some hiccups from WRs.
The defense didn't exactly win me over until mid 3rd quarter.
You can't expect Prescott to pass MORE than he did, it's pretty unrealistic. The entire team got handled.
