So the Cowboys should take a different approach than the entire NFL and never kick a FG?FG's dont win games they set you up to lose

yep. Had we made the one in the first half we may not have been down by 2 scores at the endThey do when you miss them.
I never said the kick wasn't an option after the 2:00 minute warning. I know you're just quick to try to argue with any fan, and that causes you to miss most of the discussions that you try to jump into, but if you want to argue with someone, please ask your parents, or an adult, for help. Cheers.
So now, because just about everyone in the thread has proved you wrong, you go and change the subject.
Cute papi.
Quite simple, you needed two scores. I must be a genius...I mean I am sure we were all thinking 2 TD's to win the game 38-34. So why kick it on 4th and 5 when it's not that much time left and you are driving to score a TD. If it was 6 mins left then yes I would kick the FG but we had come from such a huge hole that it really made no sense to even go for it. Did Garrett want to play for OT????
I truly hate this coach
Lol...what are you even talking about, kid? You jumped in on a conversation, and while having no idea what was being said in that conversation, claimed I said something about the onside kick not being an option. You've embarrassed yourself many times here, but this time you crossed into cringe territory. Yikes....
well that's my point, since there was a likely chance of needing a onside kick I dont know why a FG was even a option.
I thought being close to the endzone it made sense to try and get the 5 yards and the td first. If we make that fg and get the onside kick. Going to be a lot harder to drive for a td with 1:30 left no timeouts
For everyone. Our brilliant @Cowfan75 dropped this gem
Literally not understanding how in either situation, a FG or TD, you gotta have a successful onside kick in between.
But yeah, I'm the idiot.
Jason Garrett has been coaching over a decade now and still does not know the basics. What is your point?Highly doubtful.
The key point I made here is "too much".
As in too much simulation makes one lose touch with reality.
Take another sip, Hen... lol

Why would you want to further humiliate yourself by bringing this to everyone's attention? So for anyone who cares...this Abe kid jumped in on a conversation and claimed that I said an onside kick wasn't needed to win at the end of the game, or some such nonsense. What I actually said was simply that onside kicks don't work in today's NFL, which is a fact this season.
Seriously, kid...you should have stopped while you were behind....good grief!
Please. You can keep talking your nonsense but anyone reading the thread knows you are full of it

exactly right callNo that was the right call. The time to go for it would have been in the 1st half down by 17 and trying to settle for a 54 yard field goal.
Every team on the planet kicks the FG there. You’re playing for the tie at that point.. you need 2 scores. And you’re taking the highest percentage road to get there. FG, onside kick.
Too many wrong calls, and mistakes. That 55 yarder was infuriating though. The field goal at that point was the right call.
Kicking a 55 yarder near end of the first half was the wrong call. Should have gone for it then.

That's not the highest percentage. The highest percentage is convert the 4th down and get the td, when you are a few yards away. Then after the onside you only need 30 yards for a field goal instead of 70 yards for a td.
