Urbans offenses got stale at the end. I think he’s a great overall leader but he keeps saying his health is a concern for taking on such a workload. Also never heard him in connection with any NFL jobs

I'm highly skeptical that Riley can be as effective in the pros. I have even more doubt that a guy with no skins on the wall in the NFL is a good match with Jerry Jones.

Heard Paul Finebaum on Golic and Wingo today, also Stephen A Smith: On Golic and Wingo he said he was "100% certain that Riley would be coaching the Dallas Cowboys this time next year". He was asked the question by Golic and Wingo. On Stephen A Smith without prompting he said "he would be shocked if Riley wasn't the head coach in Dallas after this season". Take it FWIW, gotta think Finebaum has his share of contacts.

Stephan A(** ****) Smith is the biggest Cowboy hater out there and will do anything to stir the pot. JJ loves him some Garrett, your coach until JJ and Stephan are long gone. AND....what is so special about Riley? He has been a college HC for like 2 years! The only reason he got the job was because Stoops retired! 2 shots at the National tittle and lost both times!

Riley is regarded as the greatest offensive mind in the game along with the likes of McVay. The option routes his receivers employ in passing game is most advanced there is. That extends to RPO game as well. Question for me is, everyone also sings praises of Kellen Moore’s mind, so besides experience, what is the big difference.

He has epic play designs that translate to the Pro's but you never know until you know.

I feel like a decent coach that can get the Cowboys out of their own way would be better then anything right now.

The best gameplan against Dallas is just play conservative and hope Dallas implodes. It works.

Well, the first thing he needs to do is make sure the team doesn't smell themselves (as Dak said) when they are winning. They need to learn that you must stay humble. If you don't, someone is going to take you to the cleaners, which the Packers did. Riley should be able to keep this team focused and keep them away from the cheese.

You have never seen me sing praise about Moore, or Garrett, or Rod, or Richards. This coaching staff is NOT the solution, neither is Riley, nothing more than Chip Kelly 2.0. If we are going to hire a new NFL HC go after Belichicks son up in NE, he has NFL experience and has learned from the master!

Indeed, and whoever Jerry hires to be HC will likely be his last one. So he has to be spot on with this one.
