We've seen Dak do that too. And I don't mean that in a bad way since I support him. Just stating the obvious type of thing.
I get what you’re saying. I don’t think we’ve seen enough of Darnold to determine how good he is but yesterday he picked apart a defense that has been picked apart by Teddy Bridgewater, Eli Manning and Case Keenum.

I think the most telling aspect of Darnold's game is that the 96 yard touchdown pass was largely an audible Darnold called. He saw our defensive alignment and adjusted the play.
I'm not trying to be funny but has Dak done that on his own? Does Jason Garrett even allow him to do that? I know last year Cooper told Dak to screw the play calling and throw him the ball after Cooper noticed (can't remember the team) that they could be beaten based on the coverage they were running and the sorry patterns we were running. But does anyone know if Dak has been as good calling adjustments based on the opponent's defense?

Mike Greenberg is entitled to his opinion....let's see if Darnold has the same overall won/loss record when he has played as many games as Prescott. I'm not saying Dak is the chosen one, but using Greenberg's "critically subjective" analysis, then Darnold is better than Goff, who had a horrible day yesterday as well. Just another talking head who dislikes the Cowboys and their players.

apples and oranges.

Let Darnold play with the running game and offensive line Dak had in 16. Let him play with the weapons Dak has now.

If you swapped quarterbacks I have a suspicion that Dak would be pretty bad with that cast in NY.

While Sam has work to do....why would this even be controversial from a talent perspective? Darnold was a higher number 1 pick.

Dak was available in the 4th for a reason. He has limited arm talent and he processes information slowly.

So, Sam Darnold is better than Tom Brady?

Once in the NFL draft status is no longer the measure - what a player does once he is in is the measure. Darnold may or may not end up better than Dak, but he is well short of proving it to this point.

Yes Dak has audibled

I’m not sure where the notion that Dak doesn’t audible or change routes comes from. He has been doing it since his rookie season.
