I love the star, I love it it represents. That does not mean I am a fan of every team this franchise has put on the field. Yes I will support them. I can also critique them. For some reason people think you say something negative about a player and all of a sudden you're a hater. Or if you support somebody you automatically a homer. Personally I am an individual I and I alone choose what I like or don't like. And what I like is the star. How could you not love it it represents. Go Cowboys forever

I had no real choice. My Dad was a big fan and got me and my brothers into it by the time we could think. Then he bet money for each of us on the '78 Super Bowl and actually paid us the winnings. I think I got something like 200 bucks. As a 7-year-old, that was life-changing money! Been hooked ever since.

I didn't even like football. Overseas in the military on the weekends they started piping in the Dallas Cowboy football games. Rodger Staubach. It was like how could I not love to Star what it represents. Rodger was such a Class Act. How brutal the game was. The Cowboys offensive line standing up holding hands in unicent. It was life-changing now football is life life is like football

The irony is that he pretended to give up on them in his later years but I could tell he was still watching them. He had a couple of major strokes before he died and lost a lot of his memory. He could still seem to talk about what those "stinkin' rotten Cowboys" did last weekend though. It was 90% of what we talked about on the phone the last couple of years he was around.

My parents came from Mexico in the 50's and had four boys. I am the youngest. I am the only football fan in the family. I started watching in 1974. Grew up to be a coach, have met and conversed at length with Jerry, Wade and Garrett. I've drank beer with John Dutton at a bar, had lunch with Eric Williams and Deion. Met Drew Pearson and Tony Hill, had Everson, Teague, Larry Brown and a few others to my ranch for a BBQ after they held a clinic for my team and my all time favorite Randy White and I held three camps together and got to spend a lot of time with him.
I'm a fan!

Wow, that is awesome! Especially the Manster part as he's still my favorite player ever.

I do understand about loving the star. It was the mid 70's and I just started watching football. I remember our teacher would ask us what our favorite NFL team was. I grew up in NC which at that time was Deadskin territory. I always loved westerns. I used to play Cowboys with my toy gun. The more I watched the team I knew they were the team for me. I loved Coach Landry and what he represented and my hero was Roger Staubach. Back then I would live and die with the team. My best memory was as a 12 year old watching the Cowboys beat the Broncos in the SB. And really I lived or died with the team the rest of the century though the good times and bad. Loved the JJ Johnson years. There was nothing like it after what had happened to us in the late 80's. It's different today. I don't think I'll ever see another Cowboy SB. It's just been one mediocre season after another. And yes every once in a while the team surprises with a 12-4 or 13-3 season only to be an easy out in the playoffs. I wish Jerry would change and be that owner he originally was when Jimmy was here.
