Zeke called the coaches out when he was at OSU. Hated the play calling. He'd know how to use EzE better.
@aria called him shady and slimy (Meyer) and that is an apt description to me....I ALWAYS hated him as a college coach because I felt/feel he is a cheater....I feel the same way about many college programs..
WOW...>>>>>
Give me Dan Patrick any day of the week and every hour on repeat from 12am-10am.One thing is undeniable... Colin Cowherd is hands down the best in the business when it comes to interviewing people.
For Meyer, NFL success, especially if he wins a Super Bowl, would do alot for his coaching legacy. Dallas could be a good landing spot for him since he doesnt have to build from the ground. And he probably wouldn't. He has it set pretty good right now. A few more winning seasons he becomes a fixture like Saban is.
If I were betting money, I would certainly put down on Meyer over Riley. It just seems like more of a likely scenario given the circumstances.
Jerry is a fool for sticking with Garrett so long.
The long time NFL coach that sticks around a decade plus is not the norm anymore. When a coach like Garrett or Lewis is a long termer, it tells you the model is archaic. For Meyer, NFL success, especially if he wins a Super Bowl, would do alot for his coaching legacy. Dallas could be a good landing spot for him since he doesnt have to build from the ground.
My big thing Meyer is that he is a short termer. He has had health issues, he is 55, and he has never stayed anywhere for 5 or 6 season. For the Cowboys you would like a guy who is likely to stick around longer. Though for him it gives him chance to make a legitimate NFL run
I would welcome that.I think Jerry knows the Commanders would hire Garrett in a minute if for nothing else than knowing more about the Cowboys....

I think that was only one timeZeke called the coaches out when he was at OSU. Hated the play calling.

I Love Lincoln Riley - wanted him for a few years now and have said that in past threads, BUT, maybe, just maybe Dallas needs someone that will bend the rules like an Urban Meyer to get the success needed (See: Belicheat); Plus, with Meyer as the HC, more so than with riley, I could still see Moore as the OC....being a college coach and coming to Dallas as the HC, there would be LARGE pressure put on Riley to change/upgrade the offense to match a little of what he has in college and thus, you lose Moore's creativity to some degree (I think Moore is the real deal and the offense woes of late seem to me to be ALL on the old, antiquated Garrett system so JG is causing the issues, not moore).
So bottom line for me, I think Meyer may be the right guy if Dallas eventually cans the hapless Garrett since Moore could still stay as the OC, the team makes Marinelli an advisor and hands the defense reigns to Richard....then you see young guys coaching the talent on this team and they get away from "old" and turn to "modern"
And that's not a credit to him....
