Motivation, chaos out of control. So isn't it up to the head coach put everything in perspective. I call that motivation. Maybe I'm looking at it with more depth

I agree....A coach shouldn't need to. these guys are professional and highly paid. they should be self motivated....
That is exactly what Switzer said coming in as the HC, that exact thing and I completely agree. The coaches are responsible for putting them into their best possible position to succeed through prep, game plan and play calling but not for motivating them.

It's always been a burr in my saddle, there are only 16 of these and they are getting paid extremely well and are on TV for all their family and friends to see as well at the game and they need a coach to motivate them? Most of that motivation is BS, like Brees and his pregame showoff. Or how Ray Lewis used to look like some Voodoo witch had a doll of him and a box full of pins.

What the hell was the HC doing in the locker room before they came out that they need some asinine chant on the sideline. These are supposed to be men, act like it. Bad enough they've got the little handshake and goofyass little rituals after making a play, what they're paid to do.

You can ask the question. But don't be upset when people don't agree with you. Because it's ridiculous. It's cuddle but propaganda and I don't buy into that and I'm happy and pleased to see most others don't either
Disagreements aren't problematic. Some people have to express their disagreements with needless vitriol and trolling. Sad really.

That game looked like the first 3. And please dont give me the whole Eagles are bad schtick. Leading up to that game we were going to get clobbered by Cox and co.

I noticed a lot more motion and deception. I honestly think Moore had enough and went to Jerry. Just my opinion but it looked like a different offense.
Actually, I heard Garrett called the first three games then gave the reigns to Moore for the next three, then took the reigns back for Philly.

Well of course you think that...lol...It's who you are and staked your reputation on.

I think that because I can read.

I'm more or less anonymous on the internet. I don't care about my reputation. My opinions are based only on what I believe to be the case. They aren't influenced by what other anonymous dudes online think about what the guy with my avatar and screen name have said in the past.

Yep....complimentary in the most pathetic way. As if he is struggling to find any reason to keep Garrett around. Just hoping he finds one so that he doesn't have to fire him.

Here's what he actually said. Not pathetic at all:

"I’m looking for reasons to keep him,” Jones said. “It’s merited here. It’s hard to get an effective coach and get it locked in with all you have to retool and redo. I’m comfortable. We have established some security apart from the won-loss. He represents the organization well on and off the field. You don’t have to wake up in the morning reading about it....Head coach, right there beside him the offensive coordinator, the play caller, they’re going to get a lot of shots from time to time because we all know it doesn’t go right at all [all the time] so get ready,” Jones said. “But I’ve seen him, and I’ve seen him handle it, but I’ve not seen a concern, and I’ve experienced it to where players, key players, have an issue with the coach. I haven’t seen that with Garrett.”

If there was any input from above, it was Jerry going to Garret telling him to let the kid call the plays. Over the years, Jerry has gone to great lengths to get Garret out of the offense, particularly on game day......... ya know, so Garret can give the clock and his challenge flags all the attention. It also frees him up to celebrate and high five.

He's done it to a coach in the past

Just because people on this board keep saying it doesn't make it true.

If anything, Garrett is loyal and respectful to the point of maybe not intervening when he should.
