For the umpteenth time.

The team was ready and dominated.

Season is still on as we took over 1st place in division.

As always proud of Jason Garrett.

Enjoy the bye week
Go Cowboys!!
I am going to come back here in a few months when we go 9-7 and lose in the first round ("for the umpteenth time") and laugh at this post.

Who cares. In this moment at this time when the season was on the brink of collapsing he came thru.

16 meaningful games is all this apathetic Cowboy fan hopes for with our dysfunctional organization.

I know it disappointed the Lynch Mob who is rooting for a collapse with no real solution moving forward with the next puppet. Lol

It is astounding that you acknowledge this reality yet continue to unabashedly support the man who makes it happen every year.

You're right about the apathy though. There was a time I would have been hyped up about Sunday's game because I would have thought it mattered.

Jerry is the root of the dysfunction. Garrett is just a product of it. And I’d argue the best product we’ve seen in this dysfunctional era. I have no hope for a better puppet.

We don’t even deserve a puppet as good as Garrett. Jerry’s selfish foolishness deserves to be a total collapse every season like the 5-11 Campo years or 1-7 Wade debacle. That’s Jerry ball at its finest.

But fortunately we’ve had a couple HC’s like Bill and Jason this era who have had enough influence over Jerry’s overall poor instincts and egotistical agendas to field a fairly competitive team.

Sorry, "pathetic" was a bit strong. Just astonished is all.

Yes, Jerry is terrible and the root of the problem, but I still have hope that he might hire a real coach after Garrett (much as he did in hiring Parcells). This team is very talented. Give them real coaching and I think we could win it all.

Something has to change. For me to not even get excited for an Eagles-Cowboys game just makes me sad.

I think the team captains rallied the troops, more than the coaches did. THAT SAID, good..Garrett did his job THIS WEEK. What happened the previous 3 weeks? That's his M.O..... inconsistency as a HC...mediocre coaches get mediocre results..the last 10 years show that out. It is what it is. We need a HC that will inspire and put the team over the hump.

I’m not sure why fans have hope Jerry will hire a real coach? I’ve been sad for almost 25 years. It is what it is. And what Jerry wants.

The Parcells hire was to build support for a new stadium.

Id argue it’s a false hope. And the sooner all fans realize our obstacle with Jerry the better we can accept the handicaps it presents attempting to overcome within the parameters Jerry allows.

We’re a talent dependent team. We were missing a chunk of our starters against two teams we’d of struggled to win if we had them. Then upset by a bottom feeder. It happens. It’s how we respond that matters.

We obviously are a much better team when everyone is healthy which has been our MO this era without better depth and great coaching.

Unfortunately great coaching isn’t a priority of this ownership. We need to find other ways to overcome.

He's done it before.

Do I think he will next time? Idk. But what I do know is that we can't keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting any change.
Who’s expecting anything to change?

And there were other factors involved when he did it before. Fans have fallen into Jerry’s wishful hope hole. It is what it is. It’s time to realize Jerry only wants to win his way. Nothing is preventing him from bringing in greater coaching.

Jerry’s dysfunctional coaching agendas are like any handicap we might face in life. You can’t begin to accept , tolerate and plan to overcome them until you accept the limitations they present.

Urban said what most coaches think. "the Yankees, Cowboys, and some other team/? is the dream job of most all coaches" so don't deceive yourself and think no one wants this job.

The other team was probably the Lakers. That was true years ago . I doubt the Cowboys are still one of those preferred venues with Jerry now.

And even assuming the Cowboys were attractive because of the nostalgic history there’s still the hurdle if Jerry’s interested in letting a Named HC come in and have more control as they’d certainly demand.

Nothings been stopping Jerry up to this point in bringing in a great front office, HC and staff.

OP might be the biggest troll on the board
I just call if like I see it. And not afraid to walk thru land mines taking on the toughest and most controversial subjects. As a matter of fact I embrace the challenge and battle arguing what I believe in.

And I don’t see Jerry changing. False hope isn’t healthy. It’s like telling a terminally ill patient he’s going to live forever. At some point you must accept the inevitable and plan accordingly.

Believe in what you can control with realistic goals.
