I've watched practices there but haven't done the tour yet. Sounds like I need to take a day off and go.

Sounds like a great experience. I got to go tour the Star before the playoff game against the Packers in 2017. It was an impressive facility. Only got to see Dave Campo and David Irving when we toured the place.

It was a quality experience. Started it off with finding free parking right in front. I couldn't believe it and walked around to look for any type of parking signs.

They gave me $7 back (bought tickets ahead online) since I'm a veteran. Tour guide was good, kind of a combination of funny and cheesy, but did a good job.

Highlights of the tour included our tour coinciding with the players going out to practice. Got to see Tank, Quinn, TFred, and Zeke in the weight room. Kristi Scales stopped by to address the group. Charles Haley interrupted the tour, insulted people (was actually kind of cruel to some people), joked with my daughter, shook my hand. Watched Helman, Broaddus, and a third person doing the Draft Show. Saw Clarence Hill and Bill Jones. I know Babe Laufenberg a little and was hoping to see him, but didn't.

The facility is a lot to take in. You get to see the War Room, the team meeting rooms, the training table, the press room, go inside The Ford Center, etc. When your tour doesn't coincide with practice, you get to go out on the practice field.

I've been to other teams practice facilities and all I could think about is how veteran players who join the Cowboys later in their careers must feel going from that private, closed environment to this.

I was disappointed by the team store, expected more. You can buy Rangers, TCU, UT, Oklahoma, A&M, etc stuff in there as well.

Kicking field goals and throwing fade routes in the end zone are still vivid memories for me. Loved it. Loved the locker room tour as well. A+ good time.

Haley hasn’t changed much. I was at JMU back in mid 90s. The local mall was very small, he happened to walk right by me and I recognized him, I was obviously shocked and extended my hand out to congratulate him on Super Bowl win.

He Stopped, mumbled something, made eye contact and walked away. The mall was dead and he was casually walking by. Hardly gave a vibe like he was in a hurry. He was with a little kid that looked to be about 5 or so. Just basically a jerk. Guess I know where Tank gets his fan skills from. Kidding.

I went last year (Jacksonville week) with mah wife and it was a blast. Got to take a photo with Marinelli who happened to walk past us while we were waiting to start. Well I didn't want to ask for the photo but the wife recognized him from TV and insisted. He was super nice. The facility is top notch.

I remember them saying we couldn't take photos of or talk to any players or coaches we see during the tour (makes sense, they happen every 20 mins or so and would get annoying to have to talk to every one)

He told a man with a deformity that he was "funny looking" and said something about too many white people being in the building. He was trying to be funny and I know he has a history of not having a filter, so I wasn't offended but some people where visibly shook.

Yeah, Haley can be a real dick if you have ever met him................great football player, but crazy as hell and really unlikable off the field.

Making fun of a handicap person is not cool, somebody should have spoken up.

They should have a sign outside the War room that says:

MARINELLI NOT ALLOWED

Awesome! Sounds like a great time. I haven't had a chance to fly down there yet and take a tour, yet, but I will.

What I have done is checked it out on Google Maps. There are a ton of blue dots to drop the little yellow guy on and get 360 pictures of the facility. Gives you an idea of the magnitude of the campus. Looks like quite the place!

Good thing Haley didn't pee on anyone.
Yeah- it could have been worse with Haley- at least he had clothes on. Remember the crazy story about him at Valley Ranch back in the early 90s where he showed up for one of Jimmy’s team meetings totally naked?

I have a few friends with disabilities/deformities. When I joke with them about their issue they said they appreciate it. In other words, the elephant in the room is being acknowledged and they are included in the teasing just like everyone else. One guy is in a wheelchair and we sometimes give him rides in the car. It takes an extra few minutes to get going, of course, and I'll say something like "What is the holdup? Of course it's YOU Ben, you attention-*****." We all laugh and it makes him feel like one of the guys. Of course everyone is different but I kind of see what Haley was doing there. As far as the white people thing...meh. It's just a joke. Everyone is just looking to be offended nowadays!

Rickles was the best. With all the PC today, Rickles would have never had a career. He was an equal opportunity insulter.
I disagree. Rickles had a ridiculous genius delivery that would cut to the bone without any intertwining malice. Much of his routine was his facial control. He kept an unbreakable looking sneer throughout all his jokes.

I could be wrong but I think Rickles would have done well in the PC era. His on-stage career always seemed like an act, whereas today's comedians' routines come across as extensions of their true personalities--along with what seems like their true opinions about the greater world.

Not saying Rickles act would have been completely immune from criticism though. After all, WHO is in today's society? :)
