If the Bucs spent a first round pick on Howard and don't want him anymore, I have to ask why. We can't strike Amari Cooper gold every time.

I also have to ask what Howard would bring to this offense. Can he block? Because that's what keeps Blake Jarwin from getting more snaps than he plays.

me too. Initially they said he wasn’t for trade at all, as recently as last week. But I guess reality set in

They just need to post Witten up in his hover round. That should be his next endorsement deal. He’s about ready for one.

I was watching ESPN and Morten said Howard was available, supposedly Bruce got some calls but would have to be the right price.

I would be willing to trade a 2nd round for him.

This season he has 2.2 catches per game and 29.3 yards/game as a starting TE that is known for his receiving abilities not his blocking abilities...

He has upside, but he has just over 1.5 seasons remaining under contract.

A 2nd round pick seems a bit much...

If he is that good why would they give him up....so a 2nd sounds too much...he is a name you heard from past draft and he has under performed

Does anyone believe that this helps the team this year? I get it if it’s for the future, but they’re not sending Witten to the bench and Jarwin hasn’t played quite well. I don’t have the stat handy, but for example He has the highest catch ratio on poorly thrown balls in the league.

If a trade happens, it’ll be for safety or at a position lacking depth.
