What Adams contract status? That has to play apart in comp as well, Is he cheap and have any years left?

You don't want to build your team trading for players. Ideally, you want to build your team through the draft.
We built this team through the draft we acquired a lot of talent through the draft with the youngest or one of the youngest teams in the league it's time now to put a guy in this defense that's a playmaker on the back end

I know but is Adams the answer to us at least getting to the NFC championship game and then who knows...Tricky one for sure.

He's a young player among the top at his position. Even if we fail to get far in the playoffs, he's worth acquiring.

Bennett was a now piece that cost us very little. He probably won't be here next year or at least the year after that. Adams is a building block.

One player isn't going to get us to the NFC championship. We still have the red headed clapper coaching them.

Yes, their greater need is CB ... and I expect them to land one before the trade deadline.

I'll be surprised if we end up with Adams because the price will be too high for us but not for someone else.

If they would be willing to give up a lot for Adams, then it would make them look real foolish that they got cheap a few weeks ago when they could have had Ramsey.

A 1st and Brandon Knight or Joe Looney is all I'd be willing to give. I realize he's worth more than that, but he is still a strong safety and he hasn't been real good covering tight ends. I want Adams, but he isn't going to come in and be a difference maker like Amari was, not at his position. All that said, he'd be the best safety in the 2020 draft class not named Delpit. The Jets are desperate for offensive linemen, and Dallas is relatively deep with offensive linemen. A pick and a OL make the most sense to me.

I'm guessing it will take next year's first and second, plus a player like Jourdan Lewis.

For reference sake.............

Steelers gave up a 2020 1st round pick, 2020 5th round pick and a 2021 7th round pick and got back Fitzpatrick a 2020 4th round pick and 2012 5th round pick.

So all intents and purposes it was Fitzpatrick for a first. The rest was just flipping rounds in late round picks.

Slightly less value than a 1 with the pick swap.

well that was a fun 10 mins of hoping we could get Adams(not happening), back to looking back at all the drafts we ignored safety. :banghead:

I've stated who I want but my little birds are saying we have inquired about Reshad Jones.

Just don't cut out their tongues like Varys does in the books.

You'd be surprised what you can get out of Stephen with a Snickers bar.
I am not convinced JJT has any real sources with the Cowboys. Maybe before with certain malcontents, not now with how much he has blasted the organization.

Hopefully the fact that adams wants to come to Dallas will help...jets probably won't send him elsewhere unless the other offer is significantly better
