The Cowboys wanted Jamal Adams badly. How badly? Enough to part with a first-round choice a year after trading their first-rounder to Oakland for receiver Amari Cooper. It would have been a blockbu...

Increasing it to 2 first rounders as the article implies they wanted, would've been a plunger move by JJ that would've set us back for a long time. No one guy is worth that, especially at a S position. So glad that didn't happen!

Jerry Jones doing his best to destroy this team's future. He has violated just about every rule for building a team capable of contending for an extensive period of time.

One of the most important rules is that you don't mortgage the teams future for the belief that you have to win it all during one particular season. I mean, you trade your top draft picks to "fill a need" and then your quarterback goes down. Not only is that season in jeopardy but you can't get better in the near future having traded away Those valuable picks.

At the very least, Jerry should be capable of learning from his mistakes but I guess the Joey Galloway and Roy Williams trades wasn't enough. Both times that was all he thought he needed to get back to a Super Bowl and all it did was stunt the future development of the team.

Stephen is failing miserably when it comes to restraining his father's delusional belief that he knows how to build a football team without a phenomenal HC doing it for him.

"The Jets asked for a pair of second-round choices in addition to the first-rounder, according to Slater.

The Cowboys decided it was too much.

“I don’t think they really wanted to let him go,” a Cowboys source told Slater."

This about sums it up. That's just way too much to ask. If the Jets were serious about trading him, they would've came down on their demands a little. Sounds like they wouldn't budge.

Well stated, offering a 1st and 3rd is stupid, and I imagine stevie was all for this with his dad.
They can draft one for just the 1st they will have next draft if that is what they think they need.
I think they think jamal would be like the amari trade where the defense would suddenly be great adding 1 player.
It just doesnt work like that, many things factored into the turn around last year not just amari.

But the jones boys are billionaires so they think they know more than us peons lol.
Seems like jerry is starting to get impatient to get back to a SB, and that could be a good thing if they dont
go this year , maybe he will dump JG.

I dont get that logic. The guy was drafted at 6. How can you say he's not worth such and such? People much rather risk drafting guys like Taco Charlton and Trysten Hill instead of getting a HOF type talent with zero risk instead. The more is not always the better. When was the last time we drafted a HOF type player with a late 1st round pick? I'm waiting.

Yeah, this years draft class looks truly special. Good thing we didn't trade the Hill and McGovern pick for Pro Bowlers

A 1st and a 3rd DAY pick YES.
A 1st and 2 seconds, like the Jets wanted. NO

As mentioned in the article. It does sound like the Jets didn't want to get rid of him.

I'm riding Nate Newtons coat tails here. "Give me more play makers on Defense".

The Dallas D currently has them, but some in our secondary have to turn their heads around and go for the INTs.

I haven’t heard your prediction. What is it?

Passer rating, QBR, wins, total offense, passing offense—what’s your prediction on if those are indicators of future salary.

Don’t gloss over that. Put your emotions aside and address those stats. As Jerry will with cash. Don’t avoid them because they make your argument look really stupid. :)

I don’t think it was too much...but thankfully we didn’t make the trade.

now we got to make sure we don’t give the Jets exactly everything they want on draft day. I can see it now- Jamal Adams traded for a first, third, and next years first on Draft Day.

the way Zeke and Tank have destroyed Jerry in negotiations I wouldn’t be surprised....

QBR is for the mentally challenged and Skip Bayless.
Here's wants going to occur by the end of the season read carefully.
Our offense will flounder once again esp in the RED-Zone and culprit # 1 will be our passing game lead by yours truly Panic Sally Dak Prescott.
Why you may ask? We will be facing top ten defenses who will stop Zeke and force us to win with our passing game which has proven this is way above Dak's pay-grade as we are 1-9 when Zeke is under 75 yards.
Also, remember how well Dak does when he has pressure back there....NOT PRETTY!!!!
Our defense will hold its own but succumb in the end as it will be tired of being on the field all game long.
Red-zone will once again be Field-Goal city for us at best.

Get your excuse book ready Mr. C as I have a feeling you need every chapter by seasons end.

That's all for now and don't forget to give that Kiss to the Dak doll you have next to your bed.

Except he didn’t mortgage the future lol. He didn’t make the deal. Trading a first and a third for Adams is a smart move.

They got fair deals. You can’t look those guys in the eye and tell them I want to pay you less than market value lol.
