The win was fugly but it’s a win. It gets them one closer to where they wanna be. The defense looks like they may be finding their groove and if the offense will just quit shooting itself in the foot they would be pretty darn good. We will learn a lot more this Sunday night as already mentioned. These next six weeks are gonna be a lot of fun.

For the purposes of sleep, I would have been happy and impressed had the Cowboys scored 28 first quarter points. I am happy Dallas took a few punches and answered the bell in the fourth quarter. I'd rather see the team figure out how to win then pummel a bunch of bad teams and get beat by good ones. The New Jersey Giants wanted to win that game and they are a divisional opponent which makes them a little tougher to beat. We can talk impressed if Dallas can string a few wins together.

Yes and I'd much rather they have the hiccups like ints, fumbles, penalties, etc against bad teams, if they can still win, than against the Iggles, Pats, and other good teams...

The 49ers have to fight to beat the Cardinals and it looked like the Cardinals could come back to win that game at some point. These types of games happen, even the Patriots have to struggle to beat the Bills 16-10. Divisional games turn out to be like this sometimes. I wouldn't even be surprised if the Giants game the Eagles a tough game in one of their match ups that they have coming up, because NFC East divisional games can be like that no matter what the records are.

I'm with you, but the second half was good. More importantly, the defense took over the game, which was good to see.

We'll know all we need to know after the Vikings and Patriots. That'll tell us who the Cowboys really are.

Primetime Kirk Cousins at home with a bad oline? I like our chances. Same with the Lions a week later who have been bitten by the injury bug.

Boys are going on a bit of run here until NE whom we will lose to because JG always gets outcoached in big games.

That was Sean Lee out there not some JAG playing well. Lee would be going to the HOF if he could have stayed healthy more.

Man you bring up a good point. It was really nice seeing him flash his potential after many, including myself, wrote him off as washed up.
Also, I feel Joe Thomas played quite admirably.

Moral of the story though, there's always bright spots in victories. I understand where you're coming from though, because I feel we should have won that game by 40+

A win is a win and they needed it last night. That said it was not a good win at all. The Giants are terrible and that game was up for grabs in the 4th. Bad penalties, Cobb drops, bad turnovers, ST screw ups, and strange play calling was all on display. I will also say I think other than a couple big plays the secondary stunk. Chido is so overrated in these parts. Lewis shouldn’t play over Brown he should play over Chido. I think NE is going to expose these clowns in a couple weeks.

Was anyone impressed with last night?

Impressed? Overall? Maybe not but there were some things that did impress me.

The Giants have a decent OL and they got beat up pretty good by our DL. Bennett was a smart move by the FO. Collins was great IMO. Lawrence was disruptive.

I also think Smith looked like the Smith of old at LB. He was all over the place. The OL dominated in the run game. So there were some impressive things last night IMO.

Eagles told themselves the same thing. That big game Kirk would choke.

And he lit them up. This team better be prepared Sunday. The Vikings are good.

Wait... they have a decent OL?
@aria has been telling me all week the Giants have the worst OL in the business!
Who's right?

How was that game enjoyable?

How was it not?

That was an extremely enjoyable, fun game to watch. Back and forth at the start, then we pulled away to beat yet ANOTHER division rival by multiple scores.

I mean if you can’t enjoy THAT, maybe find a new hobby. I feel bad for anyone who watched the game with you.

I was impressed with quite a bit honestly. The game overall wasn't a statement game, or overly impressive, but there were a lot of things I'd been looking for that were there.

And we won, and beat the Giants. What's not to love.

Yeah most figure 10-6 will win the division, so they're half way there, get to play the deadskins again, obviously a team with issues and probably playing for draft position by the time we get them again, and the Lions and Bears, both average at best teams overall. That's still only 8 total, have to beat the iggles and another team, but we'll see...

Did you see a Super Bowl team there? Did they look sharp off a bye against a bad team? 25 years and counting. Being frustrated is totally acceptable.

I think we’re all looking forward to the upcoming stretch to realize the team’s true potential. All of the cliches about you play who is on the schedule, but I simply can’t recall a team playing such a putrid schedule to start a season. It’s hard to believe that going into week 10, they’ve played THREE teams that still only have one win, and additionally have played a 2-7 team twice. Who knows how good they really are... bring on the “contenders”.

Jardiance 40 yard run. Gallup flipping over in the endzone 40 yard Cross by Cooper. I know I'm not exactly those numbers but you get the point. Can't forget the cat

Average is probably the better word. According to Football Outsiders, their run OL is 13th and their pass OL is 20th, which would put them smack dab in the middle overall. So we didn't beat up on a good OL last night but we didn't also just over the worst OL in the league either.
