After watching all the stupid ridiculous coaching decisions by Garrett last night, then watching two well coached teams play, SF vs Seattle, there is NO WAY this team will ever win a Super Bowl with “ call for a fair catch, and ice your kicker” Garrett. I believe it will take a total collapse to get Garrett fired. Really, Jerry is happy with a good show, win or loss( he said it himself when GB had a 24 point comeback vs us. Garrett of course was coaching and Romo was QB)

Since Jerry loves his step son and just wants a good show, I think it will take a 7-9 record or worse to get Garrett fired. What is your prediction?

A great team with a bad head coach makes the game fun and interesting. Huge ratings. Garrett isn't going anywhere.

If we get beat by the Stafford less Lion's and crushed by the Brady led Patriots, getting buffaloed by the Bills should do it. But there are many of us who hope the magic number is 4 :)

I think he’s gone already, they just don’t have anyone to take his spot right now. Our top candidates are Richard, who sucks, Rod, who sucks, and Moore, who is WAYYY too inexperienced to be a HC. Besides that, who could be out interim HC? We have no options. Had we had someone that was somewhat competent within, we would have fired Garrett after the Jets loss.

Plus I think Jerry is waiting on Riley or someone else in particular. There’s no saving Garrett at this point, even if this team miraculous by the grace of all things godly got into the NFC Championship.

Garrett has 20 lives? 50? I think it would take a full mutiny for Jerry to fire him.

I know I sound like a broken record but does anyone trust Jerry to hire someone better? Other than Jimmy Johnson, every hire either had a specific need/agenda (Parcells) or they were the typical laid back coaches (Gailey, Campo, Phillips, Garrett) that would not challenge the longstanding hierarchy. Switzer could be argued on the agenda side, which was to show Jimmy that anyone could lead the Cowboys to a SB win.

He'll be gone for sure if the Cowboys miss the playoffs. However, Jerry will keep him until the Cowboys are mathematically eliminated which might even be until the last game of the season.
Don’t be to sure about that. 8-8 He’s only 50/50 of getting the boot!

I’m to the point, ANY ONE is better than Garrett. Give someone else a chance to coach on of the most talented teams in the NFL.

No playoffs means Coach Clappy cleans out his desk.

The way the Internet and Talk Radio has blown up today demanding Garrett's head, no way in hell Jerry can sell an extension to the fan base if we lose the division to the Eagles and sit home after a 3-0 start.

Honestly, I think it will take 10 wins to win the East this year and I dont see 5 more wins...…….so, I predict 9-7, no playoffs, and no more Clappy.

IMO that line of thinking is what got this fanbase to accept all the previous lame HC hires. Then 1-3 yrs later everyone wants the scrub fired.

You think this why? Because his contract has not been extended? Garrett spends every holiday at Jerry’s house. Jerry is to close to Garrett. It will take a complete collapse for Jerry to uninvite/fire Garrett!

He has to miss the playoffs

Exactly...………..the playoffs is the key...……….no playoffs and Jerry cant sell an extension and I believe Garrett was told this already.

I think that is why he looks so serious on the sidelines this year, a lot more worried looking than in year's past.
