The talking heads from inside the Star, who get their paychecks signed by Jerry Jones, were literally just trashing the coaching staff. No way they do this without permission from higher up, so if Jerry is cool with them trashing the coaches that cant be a good sign for Garrett. Here are a couple of quotes.

Helman...."the team is just mediocre, they should be better than this but they aren't"
"The play calling sucked, PERIOD...……….just mind boggling play calls"
"Everybody in the building but the Cowboy coaches knew they couldn't run"
"Decisions by coaching staff put the team at a disadvantage to win the game"

"Garrett said Tavon could return it, I am not buying it"(flat out calling Garrett a liar)

Eatman..... "I have no idea what these coaches are asking of these players"
"Coaching staff is just stubborn, will keep running plays that dont work repeatedly"

"Coaching staff apparently never seen a screen play before, they might want to use it"

Amber...….."How do coaches see screen passes all night and cant make any adjustment for it"

I have to agree JG has never been a coach who made any type of adjustments. ATL game where green got beat just left him on an island no help. Minny killed us on the screen pass. How do you run Zeke twice when you have been killing them with Coop?????? Stupid is that stupid does.

Good.

I would say how do you draft a guy like Pollard and then sit him on the bench rather than finding ways to use him? Especially when there is a night/day difference in speed and quickness between he and Zeke.

I can imagine these geniuses on the coaching staff explaining “the reason why we don’t use him is because the other are expecting us to use him!”

It really is an unreal level of bad coaching. Most coaches work their way up. Ours hardly did. He does not know football.

During one of the draft shows Jerry was asking Jason about how he could use someone’s talent. He went on some long rant that didn’t have much to do with the question. Jerry looked confused and had to be thinking “I actually do know more than this guy about the game”

Clearly they continually try things that don’t work. The Atalanta game should’ve been enough for anyone to figure out that his decisions about winning football games are to be doubted.

We all know about his clock management issues and this last one with the punt return is as revealing as the ATL. Game. He repeatedly makes poor decisions that cost this talented team wins and has for years and years and...The punt return was the worst and not even if you’re thinking he could’ve had a long return. It just didn’t save that much time to call fair catch and the gamble for more yards was clearly worth it if he had any room.

Again. For anyone that defends him: when is enough not winning big games and making classic gaffes enough? Now his players won’t even give him a five. Which selfishly takes away his best attribute. And that’s not a joke.

Coop is literally snagging every ball within his catch radius and the last 3 plays of the would be game winning drive is 2 handoffs and an out route to the Fat Ewok.

Like Helman said, the Cowboys coaching staff made such mind numbing bad decisions that it cost the team any chance to win the game.

Jason Garretts biggest fault is his stubbornness. To Jason his resistance to change is his rock., his mantra, just keep doing it the same way everyday, focus on the process not the results. The problem is that's not how it works, Saban doesn't do that Jason...he made adjustments until he found a winning formula THEN you do it the same way everyday focusing on process..make sense Princeton boy? Tell Jerry too so he can change too and start by firing your ...

I actually had confidence the coaches would figure out the screen passes in the 2nd half.

And then...............

Jerry would build a world class race car and then let a 10 year old drive it in the race.

I don't think Garrett is that incompetent, but his stubbornness, lack of flexibility and naive real time play management could be his downfall. By the way, really appreciate your David Bowie avatar.

I simply don't get the usage of Pollard when they see up close how teams kill them with screens.

It's really odd. On one hand, I have been somewhat impressed with Moore. First time OC and he has the #1 offense in terms of yards per game and they are Top 6 in scoring.

On the other hand, he does some really maddening things.
