4 games for that? Lol

The entire League would meltdown.

I agree. But he's never had a suspension before, so, I reckon he'll likely get that as a result of an appeal. But I think the initial action will be a lengthy suspension for that sort of action.

He should get maybe 3 or 4 games but not the whole season. Some media people are overreacting.

Had he just threw a punch, that's one thing. Using the helmet to target someone's head would be aggravated assault off the football field. You're probably right on the suspension. But I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL did something to make an example out of him.

I was a tad surprised Rudolph didn't get sent off too for tugging at the helmet. I suspect he'll get a fine
Tugging at the helmet is usually just 15 yard penalty with no ejection. I guess since there was only like 3 seconds left in the game it wasn't worth there time for a yardage flag on him.

????

100 years of the nfl and this has never happened.
The league has done everything possible to avoid blows to the head.
This was after the whistle.
He hit a helmet less player directly in the head with a helmet that he swung as hard as he could.

You have to be joking with the 3 or 4 games and using the tired "media" term in the manner you are using.

The dude should be done for the rest of this year and more imo. It was ridiculous.

Actually something similar was done. It's known as the Lyle Alzado rule. He ripped a helmet off a Jets player and threw it at him. A rule was then made regarding that action.

That has to be the most blatantly dirty thing I’ve ever seen in pro football. Myles had PLENTY of time to drop that helmet, but he took a swing with it instead.

pretty bad but apparently you didn’t see Jim McMahon get body slammed. Way after the play. Also, Moose get his face smashed and twisted under the pile......
Andre Gurode getting his head stepped on by fatass Haynesworth. I was at that game by the way.

Rudolph grabbed his facemask and twisted after he was down

Yes, because they were already engaged in a fight. After releasing the ball he hit and threw the QB down. That sparked the reaction from Rudolph. I guess Myles figured the game was over so a roughing penalty wouldn't matter now anyway.

Pouncey should get player of the week for standing up for his teammate like that after what Myles Garrett did.
If you want to let Pouncey off don't you also have to let Garrett off seeing as how he got kicked in the balls after Ruldoph tried taking off his helmet? Suspend all 3 of them.

I’d be willing to bet a lot of $ he doesn’t play again this season.
Agreed, 8 games for Garrett, 1 games for Rudolph (sorry, I have no qualms about suspending a player who tried to rip a guys helmet off and then kicked him in the balls, if the play had stopped there or Garrett had just thrown the helmet on the ground Rudolph would have looked like an a-hole and should be suspended, nothing changed on that regard as far as I am concerned)) and Pouncey. No biggie for any of them because it isn't like their teams are going anywhere this season.

Umm. No.

You don't instigate getting hit in the head with a helmet.

I doubt Rudolph gets suspended. He reacted because Garrett hit him late and took him to the ground. He very well might get fined, but I doubt a suspension is coming. The only way I think he’s suspended is simply if the NFL wants to try and make it seem fair, which I think would be wrong.
