This defense is horrible

We've truly got nothing at defensive tackle, with nothing on the way. Woods is a journeyman free agent type that plays like it. Collins is a boom-or-bust pass rusher who gets annihilated on a regular basis against the run, and the rest aren't worth mentioning. Bennett is an end playing inside on pass rush downs.

They need to invest at least two quality draft pick on defensive tackle next year, and maybe a free agent as well.

Dallas has a very good core of Lawrence Bennett Quinn Collins and woods. After that the rest are scrubs. If you go back watch how many scores over the yr have come when these coaches want to play Kerry and Covington inside together. Willing to bet it’s the majority of their pts given up

No lead is safe. We were up by 10 points, then they gave that up. Then we were up by 14 points, and they gave that up.

And thankfully, they hung on at the end.

You got that right....it’s the personnel and this scheme. It wears out too fast...they need a McClain at LB,a Suh at DT...a viable secondary. Just rushing passer or 1st,2nd down stops isn’t going to get you far. Need some stud playmakers. I’m not scared of our LB’s,not scared secondary....not scared running up middle at d-line. Throw screens all day on these guys...then up middle for 13. Dallas gets burned over middle plenty...there’s room to do things with a defense like that. It’s thin at depth too,so they can’t really improve much with that. Damn Hill pick is really,really proving costly,as has C.Williams and Taco for them. Had it been 2 good ones? Make a big difference with our current situation.

Im sorry but our defense is really bad. Forget about the names we have on defense, they can’t stop the run or the pass. We cannot win a sb with this kind of play on defense.

Next week We face a 60 year old qb with zero mobility. I’m sorry Brady has had an awful year. But they’ll our coach our sorry defense and Dak is going to have to bail us out again.

Really! They gave up a whopping 301 total yards, & 20 points after the offense coughed the ball up on their own 25, for an easy TD drive. Allowed 70 whole rushing yards to Lions' RBs, & 51 to their running QB. Come on--get real. They played on the road against a desperate Lions team, & still only gave up the previous numbers. I'll take it. Can & should they get better?- yes. This is what you get when you whiff on a drug addict in the 2nd rd. in one draft, & an underachiever in the 1st in another. Unless & until they learn to identify quality rush men & run stuffers, the defense will be average. They're far from terrible, though.

I don't know how it's ranked 6th....it plays like a 25th rank defense.

I think we've had a few games where our D held the other team to almost nothing, and that makes our stats look better. This is certainly not the 6th best D in the NFL.

That's a really stupid comment. Those guys are paid to occupy blockers so the LBs & Safeties can fill the gaps for tackles. I watched countless whiffs by all three LBs, as well as the DBs. Still, the defense gave up a total of 121 yards rushing-51 by a running QB, mostly during DE/DT stunts. The guys behind them do their jobs & tackle like they should, & the DTs are heroes. So, spare me.

How exciting it would be for Jerry to bring in a truly legit head coach and back off and let him bring in his own staff and just do a complete overhaul.
