I was saying this in the 2 weeks they had phased him out. He wasn’t doing podcasts or video segments but was doing articles from home. Seemed like he wasn’t allowed to come to the facility. Odd how he kept part of his job but not all of it. Perhaps they just needed 2 weeks to find someone to do his written portion and wanted to try out others in his video spots.

Or maybe the Cowboys caught wind of the radio gig he's taken and started the process then.

The Athletic has already purged Dane Brugler and Kent Garrison from dc.com. Wouldn't be surprised if they took BB too. Bob Sturm and Jon Mochota are the only regular Cowboys writers (Saad Yousef contributes, but not as much), so I wouldn't be surprised to see BB have some role there either for the Cowboys or the NFL/College in general.

the strangest part in all of this is why would he do it in middle of season when Dallas is in 1st place. Why not just finish season out.

oh no he’s dying to look for a new job mid season during a cowboys playoff push even tho he’s drafted his whole identity around “the cowboys guy”.

this was totally his call and he didn’t try to swing his weight around behind the scenes

I agree, very well may have been the case he was considering moving on at some point but maybe a particular situation occurred that was the catalyst for this said sudden departure.

He was already doing a spot on the radio on 105, he said he will continue to do so. Now his role could increase on the station, time will tell.
