All the Zeke Hate, but the problem really is the offensive line

I wont disagree stats don't always tell the story and I do use them to support my arguments I'm not going to lie but if you cant see the regression in Zeke your just not willing to see it. Watch Pollard explode through those same holes. now in 4 years pollard may be washed up but part of the issue is Zeke.

as I watch the Oline I will agree they are not once they once was despite what stats say but they still are respectable. Zeke needs to pull his head out his arse. He has also admitted on multiple times he made wrong cuts and there are others you can see he missed and took wrong gap if you have played football at all.
Well, I have taken a lot of criticism in the past for pointing out that Zeke has been in decline since his rookie year. I do see he has lost some speed. He also bulked up a little because he gets so many carries he has to get bigger. Getting bigger has cost him some top end speed. But it is not enough for people to make stupid comments that he is washed up, we need to trade him, he is garbage etc. The reality is that the OL is under performing and for anyone to not acknowledge that is disingenuous to me. All one has to do is to watch game film to see the OL is not opening up big holes while a fat, Michelin man RB stumbles his way into that hole too late only to get stuffed. It is unreal that some fans can say that.

What Happened to Ezekiel Elliott? | Baldy Breakdowns

Watch clip. NFL Networks Baldy breaks down Zeke's hesitation & unwilling to hit the hole hard, there are yards on the outside for Zeke to get, but he doesn't show any aggression to attack the outside, Baldy show several plays where he doesn't attack when opportunities are there.

The Akoye video I posted showing the truth about the OL.

well we are a fickle bunch! One thing most of us agree on if he would just fire the GM and the HC we'd be much happier then what fun would this forum be if we agreed on every thing

I watched that video and more importantly, I listened to it. I mean, I don't disagree that the OL is not blocking the same but that doesn't necessarily mean that the holes are not there or that Zeke hasn't lost a step. We aren't cutting OLs anymore. We don't use that technique any longer and I don't know if it's because of the OL Coaching change or if it's because the NFL has come down on teams that cut block as a technique. The NFL outlawed Chop Blocks of all types but they still allowed cut blocks but not as a double team and that is what we did a lot of in the past. So I don't know if this is the reason we stopped doing it or not. Bottom line, we no longer get guys on the ground and that's true but that doesn't mean the OL is not opening holes, per say. It means that the holes require backs to get to and through them a little quicker because OLs are not on the ground having to recover anymore.
OK. Make a video showing the holes that were opened that Zeke missed this year. I would like to see it. Maybe you are right?

OMG, that's some selective editing of Zeke in 2019. Cherry-picking the plays to make your point doesn't make your point. It only shows how desperate you are to drive a narrative that doesn't really exist. Even this selectively edited video of 2019 footage shows the holes the O line is creating but Zeke doesn't get through fast enough so thank you for providing that evidence proving my point and disproving yours. Rather than spoon-feeding fans your cherry-picked footage, I recommend folks check out the games on Game Pass and look for themselves how the holes open and close before Zeke gets through them and Pollard does get through. This footage of Zeke in 2016 is nice to watch but its really a waste of time for this discussion because we all know how he used to hit the holes and run free.
Hahahahahaha. Now that is funny right there. Please carry on with yourself. Who am I to say otherwise.

You're right and wrong, the part about cut blocking is true we are no longer trying to get the dline on the ground which was a staple for the 2016 team. Since we are not using that technique the holes aren't there, the holes aren't there so how does this not effect Zeke? Zeke is an easy target but if you watch film or care to find out the truth then you'll realize that the oline is playing subpar in run blocking but great in pass protection.

His longest run is 27 yards. Even when he’s had opportunities to get on the 2nd level this year, he’s isn’t making anyone miss.
Yeah, Zeke was never that shifty guy who makes guys miss. He either trucks over them or jumps over them or just flat out outruns them. I always wanted Zeke to be that guy. But he is who he is.

I think some people are unable to digest truth no matter the case. I believe the phrase is Cognitive Dissonance.
