I get where the OP is coming from... this team under Garrett is usually good for one strong performance against a contender a season.

Last year— it was the NO game. NE is not a perfect team by any stretch— though very hard to beat at home.

Dak is playing the best football of his career. Zeke is playing his worst. OL is inconsistent. Defense is under-achieving. Coaching is bad and Special Teams are flat abysmal.

I think we have a puncher’s chance to W if Dak puts the team on his back again and continues playing at an elite level; and the passrush gets home early and often on Brady and frustrates him.

I give us a 30% chance at the upset.

The problem with games like this is there is no real upside no matter the outcome.

Over the last several years, when the Cowboys lose games like this, they play better in the following games but never seem to do anything in the playoffs against good teams.

When they win games like this, they (and everyone else) think they are better than they are and usually struggle to win games afterwards.

The best outcome for the Cowboys would be for the Cowboys to win or lose by 1 or 2 points to help temper the hype or the pessimism.

To be fair, I'm not saying Garrett will out-coach Belichick.

I believe because of who it is this team will play with extra special care and not make the mistakes that get you beat. That's all the Patriots have had going for them since the departure of AB...they don't make the mistakes that get you beat. But if they face a team that is superior in overall talent that also doesn't make the mistakes that get you beat, they could be in trouble. This week I think that happens.

Next week is another story.

For a couple of days now, I've had this feeling. This morning that feeling has only gotten stronger. I realize I could be wrong...should be wrong. No sane man would place a significant wager in this direction, that's for sure.

Not only do I think the six and four Dallas Cowboys will cover the spread against the nine and one Patriots; not only do I suspect the Cowboys will win; I believe the Cowboys are going to Mollywhop the Patriots...embarrass them in their own house against factually the greatest NFL coach in the history of NFL for the first time in over 14 contest at Foxboro Stadium.

And just so the wheels don't fall off on this discussion, let me quickly point out that I'm not saying this is a turning-point...though it could be. I'm not saying the Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl. Heck, I'm not even certain they'll make the playoffs. This roller-coaster ride could go in alot of different directions and speaking from long and vast experience, I do not have high hopes for the rest of the season.

But...

On this Sunday, the Cowboys will prevail and they will do so convincingly.

Dallas Cowboys - 38

Patriots - 17
Well I really do hope you are right but in the meantime maybe you could share some of what you're smoking

Well, the ONLY way to redeem themselves for losing to the Jets is to beat these Patriots. So, if they want to redeem that horrible loss to the Jets, they need to beat these Pats. But, since I predicted them going to the SB this year, the question looming for me is, can Dallas beat New England twice in the same season? Since we will be playing them in the Superbowl. :thumbup:Of course, I would rather them beat them in that game. But, I still want them to beat them in Foxboro so badly. Just to say they did it.

I like your confidence.

Now if we could just get GORICO to come here and give us a “double platinum guarantee” this win would be sealed!

I love the OPs enthusiasm and hope he's right, but I don't even want what he's smoking.

And that's saying something.

Mollywhooping is when Team A(Pats) beats the can of molly out of Team B (Cowboys) to the tune of 42 -14. Unless the Norovirus hits the Patriots like the JGvirus hits the Cowboys against winning teams.

The weather will be bad. We have no defense regardless of the relatively high ranking. It has come against woeful teams. Against a winning team, I expect them to give up at least 27 again, both on Sunday and Thanksgiving Day.

And offensively, unless the Cowboys send Dak to the Arctic Circle to practice, his wet hands will freeze, and his body movements will mummify. Gloves will not help, and the Dak dance will be non existent. Still, he will have the opportunity to Tutukhamen it down the field. He must take it, because any movement will be better than standing back there like a frozen scarecrow in a field of snow poppies.

My game plan would be to run the heck out of Zeke no matter what, when, where, and how, then add lots of screen plays, and dump offs etc..).

I just want to get out of there healthy. Pick your battles. Live to play on Thursday.

You must have been dreaming. Would love to see them handle the Pats though.

I actually had a dream that Dallas beat New England last night. I'm guessing it was because I was reading the forum right before bed. I'm in no way trying to pretend to be clairvoyant, but interesting dream nonetheless. Would be cool to see it turn to reality. :D
