Don't get me wrong but I can see several reasons why the Cowboys might not win. The main one is the Pats are just that good and are a tough team to beat especially at home.

Dak is not the runner Lamar Jackson is, so we can't use him in the same way. I do agree he needs to take advantage of running lanes though, because the Pats will be coming after him.

I'd like to see Dak more willing to run, especially early, put some stress on that defense and have that in their head. That little bit of hesitation trying to keep an eye on Dak can help loosen some of those underneath routes

I've never really focused in on Dak's rushing output outside of total yards and TDs.

But found this interesting, when Dak hits at least 35 rushing yards the team is 8-2. Good for a 80% win %.

And in games when Dak scores a rushing TD we are 17-4. Good for a 81% win %.

Dak is pretty athletic. Just not as fast or quick as Lamar. It can still work.

However, running the ball is key to beating the Pats. While the Pats have the #1 D in the NFL, they are 10 in rushing yards and 23 in YPC. They do not have a great run D.

So, the key to winning this game is long, time consuming drives, keep the D off the field as much as possible. We need to run the ball a ton.

They have to play pretty close to a perfect game, and maybe get a few screw ups by NE. Yes they can screw up at times.
However, Dallas has not really played anywhere close to a perfect game. Not against a talented team anyway.
