Nope. Not about Brugler. Do your homework first, then talk about others being "naive".

Totally, utterly, completely wrong. What he does now has everything to do with why he is no longer with the Cowboys. He got a better offer and he took it. Just like Kent Garrison did, the guy I was actually referring to.

what does kent garrison have to do with anything? He chose to leave, look him up he is into multiple things. His job was not tied to the cowboys, he could do what he does in a number of other industries.

look you guys need to understand, Broaddus would not just quit this job. No chance in hell. This is all I am going to say about it.

I heard Broaddus saying he wanted to experience other options
but to be suddenly "gone " from such a very popular NFL team podcast, .from the most popular sports team .....in the middle of the Cowboys season .. without already having a spot or show to go to; tends to say there was obvious " issues " behind the scenes that forced that departure.

I think he will end up with a permanent spot on 105.3 the fan, maybe on a Saturday show. And maybe someone like The Star,... the Athletic , .(someone not tied into and owned by
the Cowboys organization) will have him write on a weekly article as he was doing with the Cowboys website.

He certainly would if he got what he felt was a better offer. Who wouldn't? You? Please stop saying stupid things.

Not fired at all. He's been negative towards many other player's performances in the past, so as unimportant a player Awuzie is wouldn't have anything to do with it.

His analysis isn't always the best, but he sure seems like a good as dude. Hope the best for him.

According to Tim MacMahon he was fired. Broaddus didn’t dispute it was the Cowboys decision here. However in another tweet he said it was his decision. There was clearly a dispute that caused him to leave or be fired. The Cowboys may of wanted to make some changes he didn’t like and he decided to move on or he was fired.

Hey, I was wrong. Thanks for providing proof.

@MikeB80 you were right.

I'll said with MacMahon because if Broaddus wasn't actually fired then the way Tim worded his tweet would have been corrected by Broaddus I would think. Idk this is all weird.

Here's my theory. Broaddus got another offer, brought it to the Cowboys to match or beat, and they declined, so he left. That would make it both his decision and the Cowboys, allowing for both things to be true.

On second thought, I'm wondering how McMahon would have known either way.

He's an ESPN employee for multiple basketball teams including the Mavs, how would he have the inside info on his firing since he really has no affiliation with the Cowboys at all.

McMahon has an axe to grind with Jerry Jones and he took the opportunity to make a dig. McMahon used to cover the Cowboys, and then he pinned Jerry down one day about "firing the GM" and was eventually exiled from Cowboysland.

but " left " to go where ? lol

he didn't go anywhere .. he's still in limbo, trying to figure out where's there's an opening gig at.

and where's the gig that was willing to match or outbid the Cowboys for Broaddus' services?
but at least he has said that he wants it to be a local area. So he's definitely not skipping out of Texas for it.

He's already doing work for the Athletic. There's a link to it in a thread on the front page here.

If that happened there would have been a send off and he would have announced he was leaving either on Talkin’ Cowboys or Twitter. There’s always a send off when someone leaves and everyone announces this will be their final show but Broaddus disappeared and everyone was tight lipped about it. The last Talkin’ Cowboys he did was November 1 just prior to the Giants game. He said at the end of the show he would be doing the Cowboys pregame but didn’t. Whatever went down happened suddenly. Everyone was too hush hush about his absence for it to be as simple as he got a better offer and decided to leave. Bill Jones even said he hadn’t tried reaching out to Broaddus and Broaddus didn’t reach out to him so there was clearly a dispute that led to his sudden departure.

Or an offer that came up suddenly and had to be accepted or declined quickly?

I don't claim to know all the facts and I'm trying to piece things together based on the available information. But it seems like there's been a lot of change among the media in Dallas lately. I don't think it's mere coincidence.

And usually, when guys "get in trouble", they disappear completely for some time. That's not happening with Broaddus.

I believe I have it pretty well pieced together. Broaddus said he was looking at different things and different challenges and Tim MacMahon said Broaddus will be a great asset for whoever hires him so it’s clear he didn’t have anything already lined up at least a few days ago. Broaddus may not have been in trouble, there was just some sort of dispute and he either he decided to leave or he was fired. Like I said earlier they may have wanted to make some changes that he didn’t agree with. The Cowboys may have said this is how it’s going to be, take it or leave it and he moved on. It may have been something that had been brewing for a while and finally came to a head. If it was him deciding to leave for what he felt was a better opportunity he would’ve announced he was leaving and he and everyone else wouldn’t have been so tight lipped about his sudden disappearance.

Fair enough. I myself have a different opinion.

I suspected all along this was censorship issue. Has to be tied to his Garrett criticism. Brian never went after Jerry or Stephen.

my level of respect for McMahon just went up. There isn't a media member down there who would even remotely attempt that level of questioning. I have never seen Jerry so confronted. That was gold.
