So in your opinion, TD’s are the major determining factor of what makes a RB good or not?

I care about TD’s but if we had a stud TE or fullback that we could reliably go to every time we’re within the 5 or 10 yard line and they got the TD that wouldn’t change my opinion of the RB. How in the hell do you not understand this? How do you not take into consideration the other players or coaching decisions?
No, TDs are the major determining factor for which team wins most games. I'm happy for you that Zeke checks your box for something to complain about. As long as he keeps scoring TDs, your complaints are without merit but carry on if that's what makes you happy.

It would be telegraphing our plays if we relied on the same stud TE or fullback every time we're within the 5 or 10 yard line. How in the hell do you not understand that?

Zeke, that's OK, your QB got little credit for a 66% win rate, it was all about the missed throws.

If anyone watches this OL run block, they see the real problem, inconsistency. Elliott is a power back and he's used that power a lot in his first 3 seasons with more carries than any other back and the majority of those were runs with contact. He's known for "falling forward" because of that power. Bu that wears on any body. It did on Earl Campbell, Jerome Bettis and Christian Okeye.

Just like Marion Barber, Elliott ran with wild abandon hurdling and ramming tacklers. Then he got his deal and knows in order to see that money he has to stay healthy and on the field. Anyone here that thinks they would think different hasn't been there. Barber changed just as Elliott has because he's talked to every great RB with a longer career that 4 years and they've cautioned him. Protect yourself to protect your career.

Guys, you don't think Dorsett and Emmitt didn't counsel him on longevity? They also had better run blocking lines than he has right now and an offense becoming less run dependent as they spent their time on 55-60% run teams.
8, 9 and 10 man fronts might have a little to do with it.

his answer showed he is not a selfish jerk. he doesn't have the need to believe it's all about himself like leveon bell and some other running backs. he's a team guy. great answer, imo. the approbatory word was we got a W.

Zeke.. I get it.. But... We need you to bring back the big plays... Figure it out.

Right now this offense needs more Pollard and less Zeke because Pollard has chunk plays in him and Zeke is just too chunky for big plays.

We do it all the time, remember? People constantly complain about the predictability of our offense yet we’re number one overall last time I checked.

Glad to know you would take a RB who averages 2 ypc on 150 carries but has 8 TD’s over a RB who averages 5.5 ypc on 150 carries but only has 4 TD’s because his teammates were scoring as well. Makes sense, you got me Joe, I’m convinced.

Actually, he has a point........I mean how many would be calling him selfish if he was complaining and questioning playcalling after a W. He's already admitted he's not playing up to standards and that's good but we need you to get your a... in gear and get with the program (lol).

Who cares what he says.

You got the money. You missed TC because of it.
Its time to shut up and perform!

You acted like a grown up when you were after ypur contract. No feelings just rationality. Now act the same way on and off the field. And spare us with your emotions.

You are all about the money. Ok with me. But dont cry now when we are all about Performance nd are not interessted in you emotional inner life.

He also lost a fumble which lead to the TD.

Having said that, I like Zeke's response. Media is just trying to get him to say something stupid and great to see he is smart to not take the bait.

Based on the responses most are posting, obviously fans can't dodge the click bait...

What I don't understand is why sports teams give access to their players to the media for. A long time ago when there were only a few newspapers, radio stations and TV stations while sports wasn't that popular, it was necessary to build up interest in the sport.

At this point, having people shove a microphone in players' faces adds no value. Even worse, those reporters are just trying to get the players to say something that makes them look bad to get a few clicks. The owners and leagues are basically setting themselves up for embarrassment. Just stop it. The players know the game and just are trying to figure out which correct PC answer to give. The players and teams are in no win situations and the questions frequently make them look foolish at best. Let players do their talking on the field.

Money. Networks pay huge money and part of those deals is access to the players.

Much of what you see on social media and talk shows is what beat reporters and network reporters dig up and or stir up in locker room interviews.

Brady is filled with rage over their failures at 9-1.

Undefeated in 2007, all he could talk about were the plays they left on the field.

Watch some videos on how Brady says he practices and prepares. You might find it educational and it's an ethic a lot more Cowboys need to emulate.

What a loser. He demands to be paid as the best back in the league, doesn’t show up to work until he is and is now suddenly content with consistent piss poor performances. This game very well could have gone the other way, what would his response be then?

How about saying he was happy about the win but that he needs to work harder, try to improve and his performance in those games were unacceptable to him personally? But nope, he got paid, he doesn’t care if he has bad games or how much he contributes to a win, as long as that pay check keeps coming.

+3 points are hereby duly awarded for it's contribution in the " no $h*t " factual observation of facts catagory:starspin:

Every person, and every situation aren't identical. Hell, Brady may react to a question differently depending on when he is asked. People try way too hard to read what they want into ever word a player utters, and my guess is when people are looking that hard the probably get it wrong more than right.

That was not what you said. Way to move the goalpost. You said he had nothing to do with the win. You’re 100% wrong.

WRONG. I said he had little to nothing to do with it. If you're going to accuse someone, at least get it right. Given that any RB could have made those TD's, I don't think his contribution was stellar. I was hasty in my assertion, but that's due to frustration with his performance over the season.
