I'm not even going to read the rest of this thread.
Fire him, after his third 8-8.
I know why Jerry doesn't want to do it. He's scared of the reset.
We get mad here and say it's because Jerry has a puppet and wants him forever and ever.
That's not so. Jerry completely screwed the pooch with Switzer, and made a double down mistake by firing Gailey before Chan honestly proved what he could or couldn't do.
Campo was so bad there wasn't a choice.
But after the Wade collapse, Garrett was...just...good enough to give Jerry hope. He was scared to make the Gailey mistake, to go too far too fast. He chose to do what Clint did with Lanrdy in the early days and give him room and leeway.
Problem was, Garrett's not Landry, not Gailey, not any of the other guys. He might be able to motivate or inspire players, but as an X's and O's guys he's never been even mediocre.
Jerry's to be commended for sticking with someone and giving him a chance. But it was the wrong someone, and he's trying to make up for past errors.
