I’ve been pretty clear over the years that it’s neither blind nor unconditional support. People can keep repeating otherwise, though, it’s ok with me because I know what the post history says. It’s bizarre to me how completely a mob will ignore the facts when they want to believe something though. After all these years on message boards, its really impressive.

I get it. People want a change. And that’s fine with me if we get an upgrade or make a lateral move. If we downgrade, I won’t like it. And I’m not going to pretend literally any move is an upgrade just because people have complained for no reason about every little decision with an decent alternative over the course of the last decade or whatever it is.

Sorry, dude. I have this particular debate with so any posters, I have no idea what measuring stick each of them prefer to use. I use ‘wins’ myself. As it’s the best way to compare the performance of the entire league in a context. And as I frequently say, there are lots of reasons a team can lose a playoff game, and not all of them are because of coaching.

That said, Garrett’s playoff won/loss record isn’t horrendous, as you suggested above, either. It’s just not good enough.

Demarcus Ware’s take from the AMA he did today. On Garrett: “I think he's a great coach. What a lot of people don't understand is he's a motivator. He'd give speeches before meetings and that's what coaches should do. He was a good delegator but he could go into any meeting room and know everything: what people are doing, what's going wrong and how to fix it. That's how you know he's a good coach.”

Demarcus has also met him personally, so now we have a real toss-up between the two of you guys who know football and have met the man at least once. I’m conflicted.
