Why do people still love Richard?

Nope. That is like blaming the CEO's assistant and secretary for problems in the company. Richard is just following Rod's orders. Richard has no real say in doing what he wants. Wake me up when he has real input, especially on personnel in the draft and free agency.
What are you smoking? He has the exact same job he had in Seattle, except now he’s calling plays. Imagine thinking Richard is a secretary lmao.

Richard has already had a say in our own personal, which has kept Jordan Lewis on the sidelines. You really want to give Richard the keys to the team, just to find out if he’s good or not? Usually you have to prove yourself before becoming a coordinator, not the other way around.

Richard is a bum who got by with having multiple all-pros in his secondary. Guy is FAR from a defensive back guru. Look at chido and our safeties, terrible.

I just want you guys to remember one very important thing.

Anyone who coaches under Jerry Jones is put in a position to fail.

This undeniable truth can not be dismissed simply because you're tired of hearing it.
Could not agree more. I love this team and I am stuck hoping they do well for the rest of my life and I have come to accept this with 100% certainty. We will forever be at a disadvantage because the weaknesses of the people at the top can not be resolved. The decision making process that continually puts personal relationships above the good of the team will never change. Like it or not we are a slightly more functional version of Washington who operate very much like we do.

The only two team not to make the NFC championship game in a long time are us and Washington. Statistically speaking you should have a 1 in 8 chance of making it to the conference championship game. That is a 12.5% chance each year. The odds of not making it 23 years in a row is 4.6%. Pretty slim. Washington hasn't made it in 27 years operating under a similar structure. The odds of neither team making it over that time frame is pretty much 1 in a thousand. IMHO this is proof positive that we operate at a serious disadvantage.

It is very clear that Jerry's love of his players (and coaches) affects this team in a bad way.

Richard is trash too. Hope he’s gone once Garret is fires.

Hard to blame one coach.. an assistant no less considering this defenses track record with this DC and really just a terrible HC. Not a well prepared team overall. Asking for a miracle. Not his players or his scheme. Nothing about this D is his right now. I think he can be a good DC with a real coach here. McDaniels and Richard. I'd take that. I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

There hasn’t been as much love for Richard this year. Fans live in the moment.

And some rise above it and win anyway. Then they get shown the door after two Super Bowl championships.

You can not compare the two. We had a huge advantage pre-salary cap because we were willing to spend more money than anybody. We have crumbled since that advantage was taken away. Plus Jimmy was making the decisions back then anyway. Read my post above if you want to know how unlikely our futility has been.

Cowboys were 17th in team salary out of 30 teams in 92

Aside from being a guy that yells and brings energy what does Richard bring? Carroll fired him and the current secondary gets very few picks and Chido has regressed.

He calls the defense so it can’t be ALL Rod’s fault. And I doubt if he’s calling the defense he hates everything about it. The defense rarely blitzes so where’s this aggressive nature?

Parcells called the defense with Zimmer when they went from 4-3 to 3-4 because Zimmer didn’t agree with the 3-4 but realized it was a good learning experience to learn the nuances of a different scheme so he stayed on to game plan.

he helped create the legion of boom.

won a super bowl. Ask Manning about KR.

his defenses are among the best in NFL history.

And he coaches our secondary .

soon he will be our DC.

legion of boom don’t play BBDB.

What makes you believe Richard can be a good coordinator when he can’t even develop our secondary? Where does all the hype come from? Why do you people put this bum on a pedestal?

So you’ve been there since day 1 watching him coach, in the meetings, during the games, his 1 on 1 with players, his meetings with other coaches and know that he sucks?

Richard isnt rocking the boat. Hence the Hill pick. Look at the Seattle d line compared to ours. Richard in no way likes what he is dealing with with Marinelli but the old man commands respect. I believe would see a completely different defense and draft strategy under Richard.

Thats obviously just my opinion.
Richard is a good guy and all, but Seattle’s defensive success has very little to do with him. He was the DB’s coach not DC, during the 2 latest Seattle Super Bowls. His defense backs we’re Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor, that’s a defensive backfield loaded with pure talent.

yes. Just like most of the coaches in the NFL.

his coaching record as DC is very impressive.

KR helped create the Legion of Boom.
