How close are you from walking away as a fan?

Will always be a fan but Jerry's loyalty to Jason Garrett has killed my enthusiasm. I can't see myself watching a single Cowboys game next year if Garrett remains head coach.

Losing is one thing but losing while not thinking you have to change? That's just nauseating.

Fan for life, however I have gone years were I won’t watch much ex 2000’s due to the frustration. I seem to feel that way this year.

Fans are tired and Jerry created that all on his own. That's his legacy.

Yep. No one will remember him for the Super Bowls. He bought the team, cleaned house and got his coach and we won 3 in 4 years, still the only team to ever do that. But it has been so bad since then and so much inept decisions and creating this toxic culture, that this is now his legacy. He has ran this team into the ground. We are now the Lions and Commanders. Spare me our history because that means nothing right now. Present day, we are the Lions and Commanders. Inept franchises who have no idea how to win.

Honestly, I cant see myself seriously watching anymore games till he is gone. If the owner isn't committed to winning then why should we support the team? Enough is enough! Garrett should have been gone the year he couldn't win one lousy game without Tony Romo. That was all on the coach. And he kept him. Then he got lucky with Dak and kept getting his ticket punched year after year till we got to the Rams debacle. I just feel like we have been jerked around by an awesome person owner who is playing with our emotions while he makes bank. I will be jumping on the Ravens bandwagon for the rest of this season. Certainly will be more fun then watching our team embarrass us week after week. Many of the players on the team quit last week. Why should anyone pay to watch them?

Will be a fan forever, but over the last years I began to care less on what happens. I used to put on a jersey before the game, that stopped 2 years ago. Used to put the flag outside the house. Done it several times this year and they lose. Hardly wear my Cowboys stuff anymore. Removed my license plate cover off my car. So yeah, every year I get less and less excited. Maybe that will change when Garrett is finally gone.

Not close at all. Don’t know why this question is even presented in this Cowboys Fan Zone... crazy to me.

I'm pretty much done for this year.

Between the team itself and the referees , it's pretty much unwatchable. Who the heck wants to watch the Patriots sin again? Not me.

I have better things to do with my life.

Agree. The NFL in general is getting to be unwatchable to be honest.

That's not a question I know how anyone could entertain if you call yourself a real Cowboys fan. I've stuck around as a Cowboys fan through much harder times than this. If you are seriously thinking about bailing on the Cowboys over a 6-6 record then you are just weak as a fan. The final years of Landry's tenure were the worst. Even the first year(1989) with Jimmy was hard to go through. Then there were the three consecutive 5-11 seasons. This season is nothing to get upset about. I don't understand fans that think that way. It must be nice to be okay with jumping from team to team, whoever is playing well at the moment. I can't do it.

Dude, you are looking at the trees and not seeing the forest. No, you have not been through times like this in Dallas. Tell me, when is the last time this franchise has had this bad of a stretch? Hasn't happened. 25 years and 4 wild card wins. Not even passing the divisional round since 1996. Absolutely no direction with this team. This thread is not about this year. It's everything that has developed for over 2 decades to this point.

The 4-12 season in 2015 was worse than the 1-15 season because with that team, they were very young and up and coming. The 2015 season was just a disaster.

This season is nothing to get upset about? Wow. this season was the one where everyone said this is when it needs to come together. From the fans to the staff and Jerry. And now we might not even make the playoffs. If you are happy with this junk, cool. But don't talk down on people who might be sick of it and have had enough.

Why do people really care if people no longer care about millionaires playing for billionaires and watching them entertain us? It isn't that serious.

The team was 1-15 in 1989, the laughing stock of the league.

If you are capable, all the power to you. Run like the wind!

I've been a fan since 1970. It's too late for me. The Cowboys are my heroin.

It used to be so enjoyable almost every time during the 70's. After a about a 5 year drought the good stuff returned in the 90's. Now, for over 20 years, it's been a constant, watered down rip off. They keep promising it's going to be great this time and I'm so hooked I buy it.

I have so much invested ,emotionally speaking, and Jerry has taken that loyalty hostage for three decades. Teams should be owned by the city, somehow. At least partners with the ability to influence ownership

Looking at this thread I'd think everything was great in Dallas until Garrett was hired. This team stopped competing for championships years before him.

I want him gone but I'll believe that fixes everything when I see it.

I still watch but losses don't bother me much anymore. This team isn't going anywhere. That's been true for almost a quarter of a century.

You hire a completely inexperienced coach before the actual HC. Name him OC and assistant HC then give him the keys to the future of the franchise for the next 13 years. That sound like a quality decision? No doubt this team sucked before Parcells got here. That still doesn’t excuse the past 13 years wasting some very good talent and solid drafts. The team today is run much better than those 5-11 Campo years but yet Jerry continues to undervalue coaching! It’s nuts.

I have no doubt smarter coaching can win with this team.
