Kicker is killing us

This guy has left like 27 pts out there on us this year 67% kicker . Jets, GreenBay , Vikes , Pats, Bills some very close games where some good kicks could have made a difference .

This guy has been a huge let down and is costing us . As bad as Garrett needs to go this guy needs to be ahead of him . I said early on he would cost us but didnt figure it would be this bad .

Bailey kicked better injured

Before injury Bailey was 32of 34 from 30yrds to 49yrds This guy is 19 out of 30 thats a lot of missed kicks at normal range in a 2 year span .

If Jerrys magical dream is to come true he needs a kicker pronto . You dont go into the playoffs with a guy this in consistent and expect to not need a crucial kick somewhere along the line.
I dont care if on the second Sunday before the full moon he can kick a 70 yrder we need consistency between 30 and 50 that he dosent come close to having if any playoff success is expected

Agreed that Maher has been extremely erratic and has left points on the field that the team could have used. However, he certainly hasn't been the miserable failure that the defensive squad has been and continues to be. The teams that are winning week in and week out, have solid competitive defenses of which Dallas does not. Lazy and lack of competitive fire permeates this group of players and has caused as much of a reason for the losses as the kicker has. Yes, the kicker has been a disappointment, but this team has alot more problems than him.

Agreed guys having to resort to redzone kicks and a defense that we thought was going to be great and has turned into a liability is very concerning just dont see one guy thats going to turn that all around .
But a good consistent kicker like we had in Bailey before injury could make a big difference instantly . Cant help think this cold weather game in Chicago on thursday could very well come down to a kick and I have zero faith in this guy worse yet I think the team has even less faith.

You're reaching by including the Green Bay and Buffalo games. Dallas was beaten soundly in those encounters. That a missed FG mattered vs the Jets speaks to how poorly Dallas played that day in all facets.

But yes, a better kicker would be nice. I'd love to feel confident when he trots out there. Now I just hold my breath and cross my fingers.

Calling it now cause our staff is always behind and finds ways to lose. Gonna cut Maher sign the guy whos money from inside 50 then our season will come down to a 55 yarder that will come up 2 yards short of the goal post.

The biggest mistake is this Ace in the hole that can make long FG’s. Had we not had him how many times do we go for it in those situations? He’s terrible outside of the long ones.

Good luck finding a place kicker that’s money this time of year. All the kickers that are available don’t have jobs due to missing kicks.

not only have his misses hurt, but I feel Garretts admiration for his ability to hit long field goals have let him attempt early field goals when we could have pinned the opponent deep by punting and instead gave them a short field from which they scored, and that meant the other team dictated the pace. This has happened I think in about 3 of our 6 losses
