Not true. Rams gave 2 first rounders for Ramsey and haven’t signed him yet.
Steeelrs gave a 1st for M Fitzpatrick and haven’t signed him yet.

sorry to interfere with your self hate.
Rams can't negotiate a new deal with him, Fitpatrick has a deal in place through 2022

Coop will end up a Patriot. Quiet guy that just shows up to work and does his job (very well) without wanting a spotlight? Belichick will be all over him. Yeah, no wonder he wants out of this clownshow.

When I said this, I was crucified. Let’s see who comes for you .

This is where not having a smart GM really kills us. Any decent GM would have had an extension wrapped up prior to making that trade.

Yeah, and I am not so sure that has anything to do with business sense... Because we know Jerry has that part down. It has more to probably do with a GM, that has more things to do than be just a GM. Which is a bad thing to have on a team.

I never said anything about Jerry's business sense.

Dak is doing Amari Cooper a huge disservice, not being good enough to get him the ball. Amari, being in a contract year, might get tired of Dak just like Beasley did, and leave to go play with what he said is a real QB.

Hmm, do WR come to Dallas to die?
everyone comes to Dallas to die but it sets them up well for life after football

C'mon man, there is no way Oakland allows Dallas to contact and extend him before the trade. During the off season, yes. But not during the regular season. Too easy for Oakland to charge tampering, and I believe the penalty is a 3rd.

Please list other players that negotiated a new contract before a trade in season.

That is not how it should have worked. You make Oakland extend him or get permission from Oakland to talk to the player. There is no reason Oakland wouldn't have worked with us given a first round pick on the line.

So now we have no leverage at all, and Amari's agent is well aware of it. We have to overpay Amari or the trade looks foolish.

There are rumors and also a few facts that loom larger as the season goes on. The biggest fact right now is that Amari's agent wouldn't negotiate a contract preseason. It is absolutely in the agents and players best interest to hit the open market. They know Dallas can only tag one player and its looking like Dak is going to be that player. Sure, we might resign him but the player has ALL the leverage at this point and it will be the biggest contract ever given to a WR.

You think Dallas benefitted at all this season from caving into Zeke's absurd contract demand? We have now had a full season with Dak, Elliot, and Amari, and we are 6-6. Why bring them all back at 10x the price tag?

Dak is supposedly "betting on himself" as far as a contract offer, Cooper may be doing exactly the same thing.

Besides, the Cowboys can sign whoever they want, the "Zeke and Dak getting big money means you lose X or Y player" isn't true, with the cap going up and other contracts expiring, they will have the money...

Yeah, I just mean... he is probably capable of having that stuff wrapped up, if he didn't have his hands in so many other things as well. We need a GM that is just a GM, not a business man, with other things to deal with outside the Dallas Cowboys. I mean in June, one of his oil businesses was doing a 2.2 billion deal. You know he is in the middle of that too. So we need a real GM, that his sole job is GM lol.

It’s all negotiating tactics. We’ll have amari signed and Dak signed. Before camp I think. Byron is gone

They could sign Zeke, Dak, and Amari for a combined cap hit of around 75 million per year............but why would you do that? We've seen them together and we are 6-6. Obviously, many other areas of the team need to be addressed and you can't do that with 3 guys sucking up 40% of the cap space.

Everything I've heard about Amari is how much he loves it in Dallas.

There are far more dysfunctional NFL teams than the Cowboys. Just because their W/L record isn't living up to some people's expectations doesn't mean they're dysfunctional.
What the hell would you call it then? From where I'm sitting, it aint a well oiled machine....

Most of the players can't, and won't, demand big dollars, they're just not that good. And most teams pay a lot to a few players, like the Saints, and are still contenders.

Besides, don't have much faith in the Cowboys ability to get different players that will do any better, either way we're not going anywhere until JJ is gone, at the earliest...

"Owes"

Bwahaha!

I'm sure Cooper's agent will have Cooper give Jerry his heartfelt thanks when he signs for megabucks elsewhere.

yeah I don’t literally expect him to actually remember that part when he talks money just saying it’s true.
