As long as he has some sharp teeth to run the team.
Yes sir. No more bad plays followed by a**-slaps and clapping. A** chewings and accountability is what is needed. Every player needs to be put on notice when not performing to standard. Camp Cupcake needs to be relieved of its duty.

Earn your job. Fight to keep it. Best players play. None of this, Witten is a HOFer, he needs majority reps when he lost a step 3 years ago!

Jerry said Garrett will be coaching in the NFL next year but didn’t specifically say HC. He also said that he made the decision to go with a younger coaching staff. Garrett may have impute but Jerry continues to make all the calls and undermine his HC.

He won't have a job here, but most of you are insane to think Garrett won't have teams that are interested in bringing him in as a HC or OC at the very least.
I think he should be trying to into in a front office to be honest. I think he would be very good in that role.

I'm curious what other owners were babbling about on the radio this morning. Anyone have some links? No?

I'd hate to be a head coach under the Joneses. Can't keep their fingers out of the batter, can't stop telling the public their every thought.
Saw a re run of Parks and Rec the other where Jim Irsay had a cameo. Does that count?

I heard Jerry also make emphasis on this run game, as he said " we need to established what we do well,
zeke is a great back and we need to get this run game going, "
- something in that sense.

Someone may eventually post that audio.

That's fan-speak and frustration. Garrett took over a bad team and has a .556 winning percentage over 9 seasons. That's the 9th highest winning percentage among active coaches who have been in the job that long.

If you were a Giants fan and knew Garrett was going to be fired, he is exactly the type of coach you would be hoping they hire.

I live in Giants country and no one here thinks Garrett is a good head coach and no one here wants him to coach. I have no idea what the Mara's want but if they fire Shurmur after 2 seasons I would think they would want someone who is a better bet than Garrett who could not win in Dallas with a loaded roster.

I'd love it.

I could produce minimal results for a decade in the most high profile coaching position in sports and keep my multi million dollar job.

Garrett has one losing season in 9 years and that was 2015 because Romo got hurt and guys like Weeden tanked.

If you are getting fired because of a 6-6 record, its not because you weren't winning.

If Jerry brings Jason back it is up to the fans to tune out. We need to stop spending our money, buying tickets and watching on TV. Time to talk with our wallets.

Only if Jerry resigns him.

And I don't think he will, unless this team makes a miraculous playoff run (highly unlikely).

So this is simply JJ staying in the spotlight by incessantly talking, but Garrett knows his seat is hot as h e l l .....and unless he wins some games, and makes a playoff run, his chances of coaching in Dallas are slim in 2020. The pundits are KILLING him these days, and JJ knows that.

Just heard this on my way into work, it was the last line of his weekly show on 105.3 The Fan

The question to him was essentially "what is the bar for Jason Garrett to be kept as coach after this season"

Jerry went on to say that there wasn't a bar for keeping or for firing and that they have to look at a bunch of different things, he's heard some of the names being touted but "do they guarantee a Super Bowl?" etc, (bunch of filler)

and then he dropped that line... guys on The Fan are thinking it's along the lines of "not with the Cowboys"

anyone else hear that?
yea, garretts on borrowed time. lame duck coach. should make for an interesting finish to a ****** season.

What if Garrett goes to the Giants and wins the SB in 2-3 years?

If that happened, at least everyone would know without a shadow of a doubt who the problem is.

Not that it would make any difference. Jerry is not going anywhere.

The greatest fear Jerry has at this point in letting Garrett go,
is that he will have success somewhere else and it will expose
GM JJ decisions and control as the one who is limiting Dallas'
on the field performance.
