No, he's not. It was the same against Green Bay. He got lucky in the Jets game to ever get a chance again with Darnold's boneheaded INT in the red zone.

disagree. and uninterested in trying to find a middle ground. i know where you stand.

Both can be true. You can be getting blown out, bring your team back, and then choke in the 4th quarter when they game is close at the end. Actually, Romo won his fair share of these kinds of games, bringing the team back and finding a way to win. But of course it wasn't enough to be in the Superbowl. Oh well.
I like Dak and feel he gets extended here for sure.

But the narrative that Romo blew games often in 4th qtr is an overblown narrative.
It happened, of course....as it has for all QBs....but not remotely as often as some seem to think.
By all measures, he was actually one the best in the entire league in late game close situations.
The opposite of what some think.

I guess a couple of those late game losses hurt us as fans enough that we forget the rest.

Welp, all the daks a bum were screaming hes dink and dunk, cant go over 200 passing, and yet we were winning. Now he leads in passing and this team cant wipe it's own arse. Be careful what you wish for. I liked him better when he dunk passed, less ints, and he was more willing to use his legs...this scheme has utterly neutered him.

My recollection of Romo was lots of shootouts where the game would be close late and Romo making a mistake to lose the game.

These games aren't shootouts with both teams going back and forth. This is Dallas getting whipped and then moving the ball late when the game is out of reach.
That is everybody’s recollection outside of the bias fans trying to hype up Dak. Romo was known for having those Dal vs Denver type games where he’d put up numbers but then have the untimely turnover. There were a few Romo duds but acting like the norm was empty stats I don’t think an actual look at scores would agree with that.

its what im saying, first off they shoudnt abandons the run like they do but Daks been bad the last 3 games, the last 2 horrible..hes so off its shocking..if you go away from the run you better be completing passes and moving the chains, way tooo many bad series due to poor passes..

these yardage numbers are smoke screen..
Yeah he has been bad. He’s proving his doubters right it seems.

Just waiting until we have a legitimate quarterback again like Romo.

Instead of this scrub.
What did we do when we had your football gawd Romo? I guess at least we lost pretty lol. I guess it’s more fun to lose in December than it is all year.

You're better than that, rocyaice
The thing is he's not. That inferiority complex is something else in people like him. You can't dislike Dak the new age Alex Smith without it being that stupid expletive he alluding to. Straight inferiority complex stuff.

nah

qbs go through stretches', last year late 2-3 games Goff looked horrid, Trubisky was a bust to start the year, Cousins started off pretty bad and they all turned it around.. In the nfl sometimes this happens..Sure Dak isnt the MVP candidate his numbers were pointed to for a long while but hes not whats showed the last 3 games either.. the truth lies somewhere in between.. I mean isnt it odd Foles looks so good as an Eagle but all of sudden situation changes and he hurt then benched in Jacksonville.. he doesnt all of sudden suck..Brady has not looked good most of the year but had some good stretches..
remember that time when even Kurt warner looked horrible in NY, then found himself in AZ? weird huh?

these stretches happen ebs and flows, I believe Dak will find his way out of it..hopefully NOW win out and get a playoff game..hope is slim and fans are frustrated but it can happen..

Now Eli go beat the eagle so we get another shot at more hope LOL

Naw man I’m low I won’t lie lol. I stoop as low as some of the trash on this site I won’t lie. But it was a genuine question. Does he fit the prototype?
I really don't think race has anything to do with a QB prototype.
I doubt anyone here does either. Cant say 100%, but maybe 99%

You're imagining things that aren't there

This is not similar.

Dak Prescott is being forced to throw a ton due to his failings in the first and second quarter - Romo had to throw a ton because the lack of support around him. It's not like Romo was being blown out as much as many of you are pretending.

Dak, THIS YEAR, has 4 games where he padded his stats. He hasn't looked much better in close games either.
The defense has been simply awful; If you can't see it your blind hatred has you looking foolish. It's funny that to a few haters, Prescott isn't afforded the same excuses your boy Romo is. But when Romo played, it was the same as it is now. I don't care what you say, I remember some of the most idiotic bashes on Romo. The one difference though is Prescott doesn't throw games away. He just has awful coaching, special teams and defense. Games are 60 minutes long, so save you padded stats nonsense.

2017 and 2018: "Dak can't air it out, he has game manager yards"

2019 (Dak airs it out more): "Dak is just padding his stats, garbage yards"

The defense has played about inconsistently as the offense. I've criticized this defense, I think Marinelli should have been fired a long time ago. I don't make excuses for players, I have no "favorite" - I simply observe and report. So far, the players I've called out that this board used to defend are everyone's favorite scapegoats.

Everyone is the greatest player to ever step on the field when we are winning - no one ever wants to point out the flaws in those wins that could came back (and they have) and bite us. Dak, Jaylon Smith, Cooper, Zeke, etc.

The ole moms basement retort when I’m pretty sure I’m living better than anybody in your family tree past, present or future. I don’t want to grow up just so you can keep telling me to grow up for your little online boo.
Freeloading off of an inheritance or rich family doesn't count for you.
