I’d love to see Tony as an OC, here or elsewhere. If anything, he learned what not to do under Garrett

Ben and Skin mentioned on their podcast that Romo doesn't want to spend hours on end at the facility so he'll most likely never be a coach. They said Witten is wired different and that being Cowboys coach is actually his dream job.

He fits the Jerry mold. Young, easily moldable, allow Jerry to do as he pleases, coach in training etc...

Experience? Nah, but hes a fan favorite and people love him on CBS!

Let him go coach at Tennessee U first and see how he does there before we make a move like that. I’m all in on Meyer. Winners win. Some are afraid because he’s only coached college well Jimmy game from the college ranks

Yea, he's a family man, I don't see him putting in the hours most head coaches and coordinators do to be successful.

I would love it!

but realistically he is getting 10 million a year at this point for broadcasting games?

you would have to give him 13 million a year to coach...

Romo wouldn't take it. He seems like the type to excel only to OC... I think he'd fail hard as a HC.... but as an offensive mind as an OC? He'd do well. But that ain't happening and I don't blame him.

It'll be funny if Romo decided to replace Garrett in 2020, since Garrett decided to replace Romo in 2016. ---PAYBACK

Not really, Romo would have been seriously long term injured if he continued playing. Certainly Romo did not join any other team in defiance. There were good teams interested in getting him on board.
Romo being the smart man that he is with a young family, retired. If Romo returned to the Cowboys in some coaching capacity I doubt payback would be in his mind. Also his back isn't "paying" either anymore.
