of course more carries will translate to more yards, what you were insinuating based on the discussions in the thread is that based on performance to date, more carries will translate to similar level of production!!! production not as in total yards, but effectiveness. Pollard is a gadget back, change of pace back. he will struggle in getting the tough yards and running between the tackles as his tendency is to rely on his speed and bounce things outside. he doesn't have zeke's vision or ability to run in between traffic. you can't play spreadsheet math for football and just say if 70 carries is x production then 210 carries is 3 times. it doesn't work that way. should he be more involved and used in the game in more creative ways? yes. but he is no where close to being zeke….every coach and GM in the league would just laugh at that notion.
and to your last comment....its FANTASY FOOTBALL as in not real. imaginary....maybe you should pay attention. its not about maximizing the points in a fantasy game. its about winning games....and its funny that pollard is amassing his yards in garbage time and fantasy players are going nuts....probably saying I should have started him!!!
this is way way way to childish to argue.....fantasy football...unbelievable.
We don't know what Pollard is because Zeke and the coaches have capped him.
Again.. Alvin Kamara is a gadget player by these standards. Most RB's aren't getting a ton of carries because teams don't value the run game anymore. They value explosive plays.
If you can get explosive plays from the run game then maybe you run it more.
Some of you are telling me that the good backs get all the carries and all i've said is volume correlates to running success.
See Chris Carson...
People who follow fantasy football closely know this. Fans that don't pay attention to stats probably don't.
Zeke in all of his glory has accomplished nothing for the team. He's awesome, I like him, but he needs his snaps cut down and Pollard needs to play more until Zeke shows some resemblence of 2016 Zeke and not 2019 3 yards and a cloud of dust Zeke.
