Do people actually think Jerry Jones is leaking stuff like this to Rapoport?

Of course not. I mean, this isn’t really news in that the speculation for a while now has been make the NFCC or changes are a comin’.

And while the Joneses will leak items through specific channels, Rapaport is not likely their agent of choice. He’s a known dart thrower.

My bet would be nothing of the sort has been shared yet, though this reporter is likely hoping to scoop something we all know could be coming. Putting 2+2 together is fine, but he’s been caught more than a few times.

That's the way the playoffs go. The bottom line is winning. No one remembers, at least not for long, the reasons/excuses for why it didn't happen. Garrett isn't the only coach whose team was edged out with questionable calls being involved.

Bottom line is you've got to get it done. And if he had found a way in those games, yes, he would be viewed differently. For me, it still would matter how those teams performed in the NFCCG.
The 2016 packers game is huge. Because that missed call on David Irving literally lost the game for the team.

Since Jerrys interview being critical of JG and the coaches he's backtracked quite a bit. Theres no doubt in my head he wants JG to be the long term coach for this team. He's giving him every chance any owner could give. But its the balls in JGs court to prove he deserves it. And who knows what it would take for him to save his job.

Well this is bittersweet.......kind of like pick your poison type of choice.

If I had to choose between getting to the nfccg this year and get stuck with Garrett another 5 years or fail this year and move on......I choose lose this year and move on...the future atleast has a chance..........we already know what Garrett can and cannot do.

To be fair, it was a combination of about 5 or 6 plays that lost that one for Dallas.
No it was literally that play that lost the game. It was 3rd and 20 and that pass allowed them to kick the field goal. It would be moved back to 3rd and 30 with 3 seconds left.

Can we worry about Sunday’s game first? Let’s get in the playoffs first before we think of a championship game.

Which is exactly why the 49ers want to avoid that matchup.
If you’re the niners, considering that matchup, do you rest your starters in the wildcard game? It could destroy their momentum going into the NFCD round. Imagine the dilemma! Possibly hurting Jimmy G when you don’t need him.

That would be horrible news. We need to move on from Garrett even if we win the superbowl. If we win, it will have been the oc and dc who made it happen. Garrett remains on the outside looking in.
Come on, that’s silly.

Nobody fires their coach right after winning a Super Bowl (well, other than Jerry-Jimmy).

Garrett would deserve a ton of credit if we pull it off. Like it or not, this is his team.

Rapaport always seems to throw crap at the wall to see if it sticks.

Hard for me to believe if they win a home playoff game, then go on the road to NO or whatever and lose a close game that JG will be fired.

Well said.

Honestly do not understand people getting ahead of themselves after 1 win.
If we were to go on some sort of a run, be my guest and speculate all you want, but when you can’t win the games that you are expected to... lose to what was a winless team and put up stinkers when your back is to the wall...
Honestly?

Win the division first, then we will see, because way I see it everyone believes the Eagles are going to roll over and play dead.
Quoting JG’s record against the Eagles as if it’s preordained...
I seriously hope the players and coaching staff are not taking this game as lightly as some of you are.
This is a game within the division against an opponent that knows this team as well as anyone and they still have a better than average defense despite all the stats.
May turn out to be a long day tomorrow...
