What do we do with Dak going forward?

I predicted after 2017 that Dak would be Carson's backup within 2 years. I'm here to admit I was wrong.

Might take another year.

You finally got one good game under pressure for a fourth year QB that you gave up four premium draft picks to acquire.

That's about a three inch long victory lap.

get him some weapons because he ain't goin' any where.

☆James Proche,WR-Smu
☆Tyler Johnson,Minnesota
☆KJ Hill,Ohio St
☆KJ Hamler,Penn St
☆Collin Johnson,Texas
☆Bryan Edwards,South Carolina
☆Denzel Mims,Baylor

Because he was injured. Did he forget how to play in his fourth NFL season?

this is how he plays. He has great protection and the opposing team gameplans to take away his running game not him...They put the game on him all year and he can barely score points.

How he played yesterday is how he played in that important game vs seattle at the end of 17, others paid the price for that game...Dez got scapegoated then at the end of last year Dak was terrible against the rams and linehan got scapegoated.

Its his turn. When garrett is gone this guy should go with him. With this running game and offensive line that affords him incredible pass protection a good player would play great. He can't because he is just a guy who is along for the ride. He doesn't carry the team and he never brings them back when they are down.

This organization needs a fresh start across the board and its the perfect time for it. New Head Coach and Staff, New QB and New defensive scheme. Fan apathy is at an all time high, everyone hates jerry and stephen, they have a ton of cap space, they have a ton of expiring contracts.

Its time. They need to go forward with a real rebuild.

Hire a REAL head coach. Let them decide.

franchise him. Make him play again in a Contract year.
Nah you don’t need a “real” coach to know Dak still has the same problems that are on his scouting report. If you can’t see that by now you just don’t want to.

He doesn't carry the team and he never brings them back when they are down.
.

That's completely false. From 2016 - 2018 Dak had more game winning drives than any QB in football. This year has been the death of a thousand cuts but Dak was on the edge of MVP discussion for the first half of the season no matter how yesterday's game went.

A lot more than that, but I understand if you can’t see so straight today. Was a rough one for the cowboys

If Amari is healthy and you add a TE from the draft or FA, this is an entirely different team. Plus you are going to have six starting caliber OL next season.

Tell yourself whatever you want.

There are a lot more than that, but Nick Foles isn't on your team any more.

the guy who lit up 11-3 GB in GB is though. The guy who blew out 11-4 Buffalo in Buffalo is. The guy who’s had 1 healthy season so far in the NFL and won the NFC East in that season, won it twice in 4 is.

the difference between Dak and Carson is carson had his worst year his rookie year. He’s only gotten better since. He’ll be top 5 in fewest picks thrown his year for a 16 game starter. Single digits and already has as many td passes this year than Dak’s career High. In a season where he has training camp bodies at WR.

However, Dak had his best season by far in 2016, and has only regressed since. It’s only a matter of time.

Hes given ample evidence of what you say but he has also played well at times. To be honest did anyone in the world think that Lamar Jackson was gonna be the #1 candidate for league MVP? but sound coaching has done this. I know hes a different player than Jackson but the point is Id like to see what a new coach can extract from him before letting him go since we have 4 years invested already
Jackson has a ceiling that has yet to be met, he's physically just a more talented human. Dak is Tim Tebow II.

Dak's problem is he always seems to throw his worst passes at the most important spots in the games. Like when he sailed that third down pass five feet over a wide open Cooper on the potential game tying drive. The look on Cooper's face said it all. It must be frustrating to work play in and play out to get open to only watch one of the single most important passes of the game sail five feet over your head. Prescott plays well between the 20's and if the team establishes a decent sized lead. He racks up on the empty stats, but when the onus is on him to produce in key situations, he starts sailing passes or throwing ground balls. A couple of the so called "drops" from yesterday were on very poorly placed passes that the receivers had to work just to get their hands on the ball. Even his completions are placed where the receiver has to try to reach up, behind him, or dive to catch the pass, which turns potential touch down passes into six or seven yards gains. Basically, he doesn't show up when he's needed the most, and YOU DON'T WIN SUPER BOWLS WITH QUARTERBACKS LIKE THAT. He is who he is.

As far what to do with him moving forward, I would let let him test the market. Consider this your chance to get loose from this guy and keep a degree of plausible deniability . If he signs elsewhere, you look at the best veteran free agent quarterbacks available. Some possibilities might be Derek Carr, Phillip Rivers, Teddy Bridgewater, maybe a few others, but the three i listed would have shredded the Eagles defense last night with the protections Prescott was provided. On top of that, you also draft a quarterback in the first two rounds, if possible, as your potential future quarterback. There are a few guys in the draft that could potentially fill that spot.

That's what I think they should do.

They might consider this:

Hire Lincoln Riley, franchise Prescott, and draft Jalen Hurts. I'm not sure that would work but I could certainly see that scenario playing out. Best quarterback wins....

There is just no way you can pay this guy.

I don't care what his market value is.. I say let him go play in the market and if some team is dumb enough to pay him 35 million then let them.

Just because these other teams made stupid deals doesn't mean the Cowboys have to..

I like Dak... I think he's a good solid player.. But he just runs the offense and doesn't elevate anyone as a player.

Am I wrong or did we have 3 road games where we didn't score a Touchdown this year? Saints, Patriots, and Eagles yesterday..?

Dak is a DUD......Jerry needs to stomach another massive mistake and go QB shopping.
No need to waste more years and our talented players on a TIER 3-4 QB....Deer in the Headlights and ya we have grown tired of him getting run over by the car!!!

If you want Dak then you have to have a great system because he can run a system but he lacks awareness of when he needs to step up and make a play and we find ourselves hoping we can do something at the end of the game and waiting until it's just too late.

That's comical. Wentz finally had a good game against the Cowboys in his fourth year, but there isn't a single GM in the NFL that would trade Dak for Wentz one for one.

And Philly paid 4 premium picks to get Wentz while Dallas got Prescott at the end of the 4th round.

If it walks like a Rat,looks like a Rat, smells like a Rat, well its a RAT!
No system can make this young man a quality QB he simply LACKS the talent base.
And YA you can't coach him to that level as if this was the case the NFL would be full of Brady's and Rodgers and Brees.....
Next Please and leave the romance for the girls and for children waiting for Santa to come down the chimney!!

:hammer::clap:

7-8 is the reality. He just got his coach fired for certain and most likely cost his team the opportunity to play in the playoffs.
It's called "Dak-Executed" started with Romo then Dez and Linehan, Beasley, and now Garrett and Moore is next along with Coop....the list keeps growing and growing....
